My first time flying one of these, and my first shot at a setup for this kind of ship, but it's awsome. So far I've been using it for 0.0 ratting with a mate in a Cyclone... this is what i use:
----highs----
[ 100 | 38] XR-3200 Heavy Missile Bay [ 100 | 38] XR-3200 Heavy Missile Bay [ 100 | 38] XR-3200 Heavy Missile Bay [ 200 | 33] Medium YF-12a Smartbomb
----meds-----
[ 1 | 45] Induced Multispectral ECM I [ 1 | 45] Induced Multispectral ECM I [ 1 | 45] Induced Multispectral ECM I [ 1 | 45] Induced Multispectral ECM I [ 13 | 58] Medium Shield Booster II [ 132 | 46] Large Shield Extender II
----lows----
[ 0 | 18] Power Diagnostic System I [ 0 | 3] Capacitor Power Relay I
Ofcorse you can swap the ECM's for racial ones if you know what your facing. Since most of my combat is at arounds 60km NOS which i see in alot of setups is useless, so I fitted a SmartBomb for some drone protection, as they tend to be the downfall of many a BB.
yes i have a CPR & Booster fitted, however that only changes the boost from 90hp per 3sec to 83hp per 3 sec, which i think is a fair tradeoff for the uber cap recharge.
PDS helps with the fit, this is tight with my skills, no AWU :(
uuuhhh yea, works a treat hope helps someone out :) -------------------------- RARR

You can't kill drones with a smartbomb before your ship goes 'poof'. At least a blackbird.
On the other hand, the smartbomb will nicely kill all your firepower (if we can talk about firepower here).
Last but not least, a shield booster won't cut the mustard, you could get rid of it aswell as of the PDU. When I was flying that thing for solo PvP, I used to fit 2 heavy launchers and 2 medium lasers for better damage and tracking, with 2 CPR in lows.

Well I used to run 1600mm plate and small rep lows, but now if I fly one, which is rare I fit..
3 heavy launchers, 150mm II, 2 Large extenders, 4 ECM to suit needs, 2 BCUs
But tbh you can do the same in a Caracal, get better firepower and only 1 less ECM.

running the multispecs for any decent length of time will be difficult at best, hence i like:
3*heavy launcher, whatever 1*large cap battery, 5*multi spec small rep, 400mm plate
can run the ecm indefinitely, good for long fights.

I've always kind of favored the in-your-face Blackbird setup, which is basicaly heavy missiles and med noses, a full rack of ECM save for maybe a cap recharger or misc. other mod, and CPRs in the lows. The reasoning behind no tank is basically if one on one your ECM is your tank, and in small gangs you can have your friends kill the unjammed targets and save your ass.
