Can someone who is -10 roam around hisec looking for potential targets without attracting attention to themselves? Can someone who is -10 slowly orbit a hisec gate just...waiting to see what comes their way? Can someone who is -10 do anything in space in hisec other than travel or suicide gank? Can someone who is -10 get paid to bash POSes in hisec? Sure, you could use alts for all of these things, but I can do them myself, which means I can save my alts for other activities. Particularly with the last one, wasting all of my combat skills simply because of sec status seems rather silly. DISCLAIMER: I'm totally not bashing being -10 here. Some folks work around it, and I say kudos to them for it. I just prefer being able to do all of these things myself instead of having to rely on a fleet of alts to do them for me.
