Is it very dangerous to go buy barge BPO¦s at Outer Ring Excavations station?
I have no experience flying in 0.0 and best ship i can go with would be a Raven with tech2 shield extenders and hardeners. No instas also.

it's POSSIBLE, but I wouldn't recomend the Raven
the bulk of the trip is thru Syndicate
Syndicate is a 'nice' 0.0 region, if you like being shot at 
1) don't enter Syndicate where you go thru Rancer/PF-/Y9G(usually hostile chokepoints), pick one of the less used entrances(D85 used to be good)
2) use something that can cloak and is fairly fast & agile(covert ops or ceptor w/cloak probably be best)
3) don't linger
4) the closer to downtime you can get, the better
5) warp to points close to the gate(not directly to the gate) if there are unknowns in system(and not at the gate your leaving), scan for camps
6) assume EVERYONE is going to shoot you, because in Syndicate everyone IS out to get you

If you can fly them, use a Blockade Runner Transport Ship (like the Viator).
Equip it with Cloak, MWD, Invulnerability Field, Small Armor Rep, Damage Control, and an Explosive Energized Membrane. It doesn't have to be exactly like that, but fit it to what your skills allow. Aim for even resists across the board to whatever you can tank better (shields/armor).
Using a Covert Ops or Interceptor, although fast, are also quickly shot down by a skilled pilot. Being able to get to the gate quickly while absorbing the high damage of a gate camp is better done (imho) with a Blockade Running Transport Ship.

I fully recommend using a covert ops for this.
I used to transport and sell a lot of these bpo's and I went through several blockades and never lost a ship. Basicly preperation is the key and making sure your bookmarks are sorted well and most important of all just think before you act.
Oh and for route.. well Cloud ring works very well

'ceptor maybe if he's bubbled and unlucky.
Covops only if he's stupid. Most survivable ship in the game.

I grabbed my old corporation's Covetor BPO whilst using a Covert Ops ship, admitedly I did get up at 4am to do it though to cut down on the traffic and had to spend the whole trip warping to 60km and navigating around any pirate ships to come up on the gate from behind....
