Helg hit the issue spot on Cran. Sadly I didn't see the original announcement but I understand where you are coming from. I'll change our bio a bit later today to reflect the fact that we are in fact NOT related as well.
A brief history of MoM: Many of us in MoM are friends from another game as well (Microsoft's Allegiance) in which there was a squad indeed called Muffins of Mayhem around '91/'92 as I recall. I decided to reactivate that name in Eve though sadly I was not aware we would be stepping on The Muffin Factory's toes.
We will NOT be changing the name of our Alliance, though I am sorry for the slight confusion this has called as well as the damage our evil acts may have caused to the Muffin Factory's reputation. As mentioned I will edit our Alliance bio accordingly.
As always MoM and their gallant(not gallente the scum) allies Evisceration welcome all to stop by and visit us for a warm batch of Muffins so we can take a break from mining for our ASCN mains.
