nr1 position: spamming evemails and help channels for isk, gtc, etc sales. Crappy serverload that no1 needs.
nr2 position: scouting alts, suicide alts. Serverload that again no1 needs.
nr3 position: server crash alts, nobbie toons attacking concord the crash the server. serverload/crashes that no1 needs.
Other result from above: Petition load, I don't have any figures, but guess the amount of petitions is kinda great on these alts. Wouldn't u like to get your serious petition answered in 3 days iso 4 weeks?
Solution a: Trial accounts can only send 2 evemails a day, no group mails
Solution b: Trial accounts can only be activated after cc details are approved
Solution c: Trial accounts are no longer free, they require a 5 euro payment which will go in as discount on first payment if account activated (1 time discount)
Solution d: Trial accounts require a 10 euro payment which will be returned if the accountholder mails ccp that the trial can be deleted.
Solution e: Any combination of a-d
Think every1 is getting sick of trials messing up the server.

Soloution a I'd agree with, the rest I wouldn't.
Me and a few friends started to play Eve on a trial account as I'm sure nearly all of us did. I chose Eve because of this free trial. Few other games offer this option, I thought "If it's no good I've lost nothing apart from a wasted download". If I had to pay for a trial then I may have chosen a different game, especially seeing as I'd just come from EQ2, alot of the people on there from my old guild were moving over to WOW, and I was asked to go with them.
If you take away the free trial then people will be more reluctant to join Eve, especially if theyve never played a space MMO before and Eve certainly isnt to everyones taste. Sure there'd be less mail spam, but less players too.

Instead of limiting the trial accounts they need to remove the anonymity of those who create them in one form or another.

easier solution block all trial accounts from chinesse IPs as it stands the china cluster was meant to remove the need for china to be able to access TQ due to govt restrictions seems all bar the ISK farming business have been removed (is CCP in cahoots by allowing em to stay and now not policing the help channel for their spam ?) only rational soluation i can come up with

Last I heard using alts in that manner was considered an exploit (Using alts for suicde on its own fine, but recycling them and making new ones to avoid the standings hit that is supposed to be the punishment for it was not)
