For a 0.0 miner, which ship is better?

for 0.0 id say the apoc, for its tankability, unless your counting exhumers as barges as well, then a hulk may be the ship for you, are you going to be alone mining? or with escorts/buddies?

however a covetor will have a hell of time tanking 0 spawns so apoc unless you plan un using an exhumer

I was have to disagree and say Dominix > Apoc. As the primary weapon of the Dom is it's drones and/or ECM, having 6 Mining Lasers (+Minig Drones) isn't as crippled as an Apoc which needs it's High Slots for protection.

solo mining 0.0 in a hulk . challenging. possible but challenging.
actually go for the apoc in 0.0. u have better tank and better agility to warp out.
better go with in a mining group. haul and mine. thats the way !

I disagree with that.
Apoc:
H: 8 MDCMII/Miner II
M: All Cap rechargers
L: 1t2 Large rep, 3 CPU II, Rest Hardners
Setup runs forever. Mine in 0.0 with the apoc, cycling each MDCMII if you have max mining skills (2 MDCMII will overflow your cargo) and chain a tripple darklord spawn with your drones. This is the only "mining" setup that is more profitable than a covetor, simply because of the rats.

Yeah my apoc is awesome for mining not only does it mine more than a barge but it is beefier.

Not really - read 2-3 posts up. The Apoc is best, then Domi for sustainable 0.0 tanker/miner/ratter combo. However if you just want to tank, or just rat, then the domi is probebly better given RMR changes.
Also every tier 3 BS in kali will do better than the apoc due to increased cpu and all races having 8 turrets. This means could could fit in a mining upgrade while doing a better jobe than the apoc

Don't forget about mining drones. A domi can fit those along with Heavies for defence against rats. I'm not sure you'd use mining drones on an Apoc, since you'd probably need the little drone space it has for combat drones to fend off rats.

Apoc can fit 5 mediums and 5 mining drones.
in general, youd probably want to find a belt with a cruiser spawn anyway, much easier to manage.

Domi has the advantage of being able to chain triple BS spawns whilst mining away. Realy ramps up your ISK per hour.

So can the apoc, but the apoc has an extra 2 miner II/MDCM II. And 5 t2 med drones can kill off tripple dark lords in such a way, that by the time you kill one - the next one respawns!

Crokite/Ark/Bist wise, thats 20 crokite per MDCMII cycle and each mining drone gets 2 crokite per minute. With mining drone II's, That should be 3 crokite per drone per minute, but I cannot be arsed training Mining Drone II, since the mining drones tend to get sucked up and 5 t2 drones get send out to chain away.
Oh yes - This means that you have to cycle EACH MDCMII!
