Just a small feature request. When you're search by name in the Market window, you will get a significant number of matches for DUST514 player equipment.
Even if they share the same infrastructure, there is currently no reason for Eve players to purchase DUST514 items. There's no market buy orders for them, and all sell orders are NPC-generated. At best, it's a distraction; at worst, it's a vehicle for scams.
Could we get a checkbox to hide DUST equipment from search results, please? |

Not only is there no reason for us to buy them, we actually can't do so. You get this kind of error whenever you click "Buy" in the buy window.

Pointless currently given that DUST514 is being closed down for it's extremely low player base. (What a surprise that was only predicted 6 months before it even launched by 90+% of the Eve community.) May as well remove these from the market entirely. Even if they get used some day in "Legion" they would likely have to be rebalanced/redone anyway. |

Even if they get used some day in "Legion" they would likely have to be rebalanced/redone anyway. wont matter, they want again, all their "conneceted" games to be entirely separate and non-dependent on each other, which means integration anyone actually gives a crap about is already said to be non-viable by CCP, which means they may as well not try and just let the games die, Legion would need full integration, i eman same accounts/characters for both games (i guess just make it so only paid accoutns can actually undock in a ship besides the barge theyd hopefully use for planetary invasions maybe), that way there is actually some interest in one game wanting the other to succeed, as it is legion will just be re-released as another failed gimick that will cost CCP money
as to what im saying for this thread, just delete them from the market, theres no point in them ever being there, sicne previous statements by CCP in design choices for DUST/Legion makes it highly likely well never have reason to see them in the market anyways |

Dust wasnt as bad as people made out, it also wasnt as good as it needed to be. Playing with a pad it felt like crap but plugging in a mouse made it feel like Planetside which in itself is not a great FPS but its not awful. If it felt more snappy and less floaty, if the weapons felt more meaty, if vehicles utterly dominating and if everything had about half the hitpoints its a solid start. It also kind of looked like **** on PS3 next to other FPS games.
I do commend them for trying it but when its the kind of intangible "feel" thats wrong, thats a hard thing to fix. Legion has a much better chance of surviving. That said, if Dust was on PC first it would have been fairly early in the F2P space and could have exploded far more and brought in more money which in turn could have made the game better. |

There is really no point in investigating anything: There is something on the market that clutters search results, and that doesn't have any sort of purpose for us, or no purpose at all.

This is nonsense. DUST 514 is not being closed down. A new release is currently being developed with a tentative release date of February.

Plus Dust 514 has a publically accessible Development Road Map
https://trello.com/b/R44szWCe/dust-514-development-roadmap
And a community crowdsourcing Trello, being actively used by the developers and the players

"Playing with a pad felt like crap" - Subjective. I actually learned fairly quickly coming from a counter strike background
"If the weapons felt more meaty" - Depends on the weapon tbh. My beautiful Gallente Plasma Rifle is the definition of meat.
"Vehicles utterly dominating" - Not anymore, they're actually quite crappy / non factor right now
"Half the hitpoints" - Weapons in Planetside 2 deal on average 200 damage per shot. DUST weapons around 30. Half the hitpoints is relative.
"Kind of looked like ****" - Agreed.
Just wanted to bring those points out.

If you're comparing dust to planetside, then you either never played Dust, or never played Planetside.
The trailers for dust made it seem like it was going to be comparable to planetside (persistent multi-world corp sovereignty linked to eve) but that's not what it was. It was a BF clone with a bunch of match style maps you simply qued up to with no real corp affiliation (whoop, whoever wins the most matches wins--but people can still play that map even though you win). -- I'll admit, I played on the first week of open beta maybe they changed it to something completely different with some actual depth -- but that would mean they did a complete 360 from where they started.
--also, cash only exclusive items with 10% higher stats than anything free... not the first F2P game I've seen make that mistake, prolly won't be the last--but so far most of them are all gone 6-9 months after release.
*here's to hoping Legion will learn from Dust's mistakes--
in the meant time.. I'm with OP. If nothing else, for quality of life can we remove them at least until there is some tangible reason for them to be there. |

I didnt say the gameplay was like planetside, the feel of playing it was like planetside. I'm talking Planetside 1 here by the way, not that 2 feels that much better but 1 in particular with its slugishness and how crap some weapons feel vs others (the weapon balance is bloody awful in Dust too) It ends up feeling more like Borderlands than a proper shooter, to bring it more up to date than Planetside 1 ;) |

Off topic, but I'll agree on the gun-play part. Gun-play is important if you're looking to hook the modern FPS player. --At least Planetside 1 (to some degree PS2 and Borderlands for that matter) had an open world with additional depth to distract you from the horrible gun-play. We should start a post somewhere else for this discussion. |

This is false. Aurum gear is comparable to ISK gear. Though they can be used with lower skill requirements.

I dream of this regularly, but since the economies are also separated currently, there'd be no way to pay for items, and so it'd be kinda wonky.
