I've been searching the forums for a while now and have found some good setups, but have some questions on them.
I see alot of people attaching Heavy Pulses but which crystal should you put on it? When you put mulitfreq on it, yes your gaining dmg, but your lossing 50% of optimal.
Advice please.
Thank you

Most Amarrian pilots carry a set (for all guns) of different crystals to adjust their optimal range as the need arises. I usually carry full sets of Conflagration, Multifrequency, Xray, Ultraviolet, Standard and Scorch, others will have their own preferences. The first and last are T2 crystals, so you'd probably find Microwave worth carrying instead.
You can swap the crystals as you're flying, by right-clicking on the gun and choosing a new crystal. They swap to the new crystal within a second or two, but it takes a little longer to manually change all the guns.

Have three different crystals in you cargo Multi,Std and Radio (if I remember correctly) Lasers have a near 0 in reload time, its a big advantage in missions especially so use it!
First you take out all the incomming frigates with your light drones and std/radio, then you move towards the cruisers change to multi and tear them apart. The Prophecy is a fantastic missionrunner even with low SP. Just Fit a good tank with hardeners and a medium repair unit! Also a Afterburner is really a must... unless you have the patience of a rock!

I moved to 0.0 space quite early and was ratting quite comfortably with my Prophecy and I find that it tanks considerably better than my Armageddon.
I use this setup for it:
2x Med drones & 1 light 4x Heavy Modulated Pulse (Multifrequency Crystals) //The best I can use :/ 2x Medium Nosferatu 1x Named AB (or tech II) 2x f-B10 Cap Recharger 1x Accommodatation repper thingy (or Armor Repairer II) 2x N-Type Thermic Hardner* 1x N-Type EM Hardner* 1x Cap Relay 1x RCU
*Sansha Bashin kit
I dont bother switching between crystals cos my PC doesnt like me and it takes too long. And anyway if you are fighting BS it takes yonkers so you need to get in close and deal the damage if you dont want to short out your keyboard with saliva (Its still a close thing, meh!)
Once the Nos' is active I can perma-tank a triple BS spawn nooo problems with it. Target > boost until in range > Orbit 1500 > start firing/Nos'ing > Activate Repper > go make tea!
And oh yes hardners on... always :)
Granted the Dps is somewhat dire but then I never have to run away either.

Pfft... Cruisers? frigates!!! Meh, not worth my time :p
If you're mission running, swap one of those F-b10s for a webber and watch those puppies pop. Although you will have to keep an eye on your cap a bit more tho.

Should I equip a 800mm Plate at all?

Tanking in this game/age resistance seems to outweigh armor HP. A single Battleship can theoretically kill a carrier with nos resistances fairly quickly.
And mathematics also proves that 80% resistance on a given damage type seems to go farther than an extra 2,000 un-resisted armor. So your best bet is to do like the rest of us and use resistance.
Note: Some people are die hard Exodus and still use 1600mm Plates, But I think they are slowly conforming.

With about 1 million SPs outside learning I used this setup for lvl 3 missions. Worked well, only lost a proph once when I went afk
4 heavy beams, 2 heavy pulses, 1 tractor beam (would have used 6 heavies, but not enough grid) 1 AB, 1 webber, 1 cap recharger 1 medium armor rep, 2 rat specific active harderners (for example vs snashas/blood em & therm, vs gurista kin & therm), 1 heat sink, 1 cap power relay, 1 reactor control unit. 4 rat specific light drones to kill frigs.
Using the best named you can get is *heavily* recommended for the lasers (but also good for the webber and cap recharger). A tech 2 medium armor rep is *heavily* recommended, too.
