font that i had since 2004 - awesome - now all of a sudden you feel it needs to be changed? after all these years, you have not learned that most of the decisions you make have been horribad and people will want the old way back... we want ship spinning, not walking in stations, we want the M.F.F back... (something,something, font). This new font is the worst, just to save 10 people from a headache because they are too lazy to go to Walmart or whereever and get a new eyeglass prescription? I can see just fine and the old font was perfect... you NEVER LEARN, ever. ever. ever. ever. ever.

also, ship spinning is broke again, cuz i cannot even see my own ship... so i guess i am supposed to spin thin air?
You were supposed to upgrade the cosmos...ie, the backround crap... well nourvekourkan or however it is spelled looks worse than it did before. My PC can run the entire world without a hiccup, so it is definately not my machine... remember pulp fiction? ya, my pc says bad MF'er, so why does the system look like crap?

i did, and i didnt like them, i had thought ccp would offer an alternative rather than catering to the 10 people who need 4" glasses cuz they cant see the old font that has been part of the game since launch... all these years and only now it is an issue?

I'm not crazy about anything I've seen either, but I haven't seen anything that's making me rage.
I don't care for the backgrounds. I thought they were supposed to make you feel like you were actually navigating across an actual galaxy and they don't (or jumping from 1 system to the next system over wouldn't result in a radically different background, it would be a very similar background from a slightly different perspective.) But some people dig them. That's fine.
I'm not crazy about the font. But I do find it somewhat easier to read and perhaps with time I'll get used to it. Shrug.
I like the new jump functionality. Not enough to rave about it, but it saves me the trouble of using autopilot to jump for me and then switching autopilot off every jump.
I was hoping to like the new warp tunnel more than I do.
I'm looking forward to trying out the buffed destroyers and hybrid boats that are now worth flying. The new battlecruisers look pretty useless but perhaps I'll be surprised. They shouldn't have made cloaked ships not decloak each other or nerfed the Dramiel so hard, but oh well.
Now that we have time dilation, hopefully the overview will work/update properly all the time. That would be nice.
Actually I thought of the one thing I'm most glad about, the option to not load station environment. I missed NOT spinning my ship. (Oh, the other thing is pod killmails, but I haven't gotten one yet.)
All in all they did an ok job with the time they had available. |

It's not about entitlement... its about the thousands of dollars i have paid playing and supporting EVE over the years. I understand things get nerfed, i am not complaining about that, i am not complaining about the crappy new spaceships that have little purpose, or the nerfed capitals... i should though since i have carries 5 and fighters 5 trained, but i am not - it was necesssary change - but the font? that was breaking the game?. To many new players, the font is meaningless, and in some respects it is, but that is not the point, the point is that CCP changed something that was obviously perfectly fine for 8 years, and now all of a sudden, the font is what is going to bring back all the blind folks that canceled their accounts. The font looks lame, at least the old one had more a futuristic look to it. Either way, they should be spending their time fixing the game, not worrying about the font that was fine for 8 years. That is my issue... lost priorities. No worries, Skyrim is keeping me busy enough for now. |

Seriously, it wasn't game breaking, but it was annoying. I like the new font, looks nice. Its no Helvetica, but hey, deal with it. Also, get the **** over yourself, you're acting like its Comic Sans.
Speaking of that: CCP, GIVE ME OPTION TO CHANGE FONT IN POSTS TO COMIC SANS, SPECIFICALLY TO TROLL THE **** OUT OF FONT WHINERS. |

Well, I'm subbing an alt tomorrow, so I think that makes up for your butthurt. I mean seriously, you stuck through the pile of crap that was Incarna, and NOW you're annoyed because of the in-game font? I'd be annoyed at the fact that the commas looks a bit like periods, but I'm too busy enjoying my Naga, returned (and improved) engine trails, hybrids that don't suck anymore, and the new autopilot that autodocks, amongst the countless other bits of awesome that came out with this expansion.

As a 7+ veteran of EVE the only thing you can complain about in the new expancion is the font? If that is your only true concern among all the content I will have to say good job CCP.
And here I had the impression that the vets cared more about actuall gameplay than a font. |

Tbh only positive thing I see is hint that CCP really wants to re-focus to EVE and FiS... but it's going to be a long way. |

iv been browsing these Font hate threads for 30 minutes, great fun,. each time i get back to the forum index,. 3 more font hatin threads have been made.
i personally think the new font is refreshing, and those crying theyr eyes out over the changes are hillarius. ( like the op )
says hes been playing eve for 7 years,. and ragequits over a font ,. you must be joking.
i dont give a rats ass about how the font is ingame,. i use voice coms for most of my ingame communication.

When you have your own biz than it shouldn't be a problem to get a PC where EVE runs great. To me your spinning drama looks like a gfx driver issue. However. I agree to the font and I am sure CCP will fix this because many players are not happy.

I am playing EVE since 2006 and NEVER EVER saw a serious reason to unsub because killing **** works like expected and this MMORPG is actually the best out there (concept, idea, complexity, learning curve etc.). CCP had decided to take a huge risk by making it hard and complex this special way. What means: no million (WoW) flies just eating **** and paying for it. EVE is an exceptional masterpiece in gaming history. |
