Just drinking a bottle of volvic and I happened to notice that the source of the water is 'Auvergne' which happens to be the headquarters of my old corp. A coincidence or put in there as advertising by ccp :)
Anyone else know of any systems that have some famous rl relations?

The Gallenteans originally came from a French colony. All traces of similarity have been lost; but check out the names of the star systems, a LOT of them betray their French derivation. Not all as obviously as Auvergne; but think about how to pronounce Pulin, Ardallabier, Luminaire, Stetille, Doussivitte, etc. in a French style ... it makes a lot of sense.
IMO this is actually a very clever design feature, and it shows that a good bit of thought went into the background.
