Edited by: Tjarish on 16/09/2006 10:56:13 what should be the problem in unplugging them?? ofcouse for a price, lets say 50k for +1- 500k- for +2 - 5mil for +3- 10 mil for +4 and t2low grade, and 20mil for t2 high grade. and 40mil for +5. (this would in some spec prevent people from removing them just to fight pvp(becouse it would cost them 50mils every time just for a +4, so many people wouldn`t try it), and still makes it possible to unplug to sell, when your in need of isk, implant upgrade etc) and they are the only item in the game that can`t be reselled when your done with it and have made sure it didnt get destroyid.
i think in this way it would really do some great good to the implant market (wich is going out of hand with the prices 2BILS for a full crystal set that you can`t sell again if you find out that you need something else or just need the isk for it. ehemm..)

Your argument MIGHT have had SOME value before the age of jumpclones. Now, it's just pointless.
Jumpclones make it feasable to manage different sets of implants easily, without any need of "unplug/replug"... and best of it all, it's for free. Sure, you can't resell, but then again why should you be able to ? __ Always question everything. Including yourself. |

becouse you can resell anything else in the game and its alot of isk that you can not optain again be reselling.
didnt jump clone destroy your implants with time? (and it was not for the carebaer pvpers, it was for the players that would like to play the game and slowly upgrade all your items and skills, so they could resell +1 to get +2 etc. so you dont have to buy +4 from the start for not losing alot of isk on it)
besides its already possible to jump clone, so what should be the bad thing about being able to unplug implant for a isk amount?? i only see something good in this ______________________________________________ Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward.

Think of implants as "temporary boosts until you die or give them up". That's the way implants were MEANT to be, and the current jumpclone thing allows you to (at least partially) bypass this limitation and NOT risk your implants even if you die, when you do things right.
And no, jumpclones don't destroy implants, unless you're hit by a bug (some exist, some are labeled "probably features", whatever, I won't go into details).
You decide to plug in that 2 bil set, it's YOURS. Don't want to risk it ? Don't plug it in. Don't have the full set ? Plug partials of same set in same clone, until you manage to get the full set. Heck, you CAN have 6 different full sets of implants, what more DO you want ? __ Always question everything. Including yourself. |

dont like the idea
1) no way in hell im gonna plug an implant in my head, that somebody else had used. look at all the blood and the goo! and if it belonged to an amarr, no amount of desinfection will give me the feel of the implant being "clean".
2) in eve you can choose your level of difficulty. no need to make the game easier for everybody. -- Only you can save MMORPGS - Stop whining today! |

Edited by: Hypo Psycho on 16/09/2006 13:28:32 a similiar thread is found here implant removal but the discussion is about removing them yourself and not the use of a station service. "see you on the other side" |

I'm in favor, even without the price. Maybe a base 100k fee for any insertion/removal operation, but not based on implant grade.
With jumpclones, losing implants in a fight is no longer a real risk. I'm guessing that the inability to remove them intact had more to do with not wearing them into combat and less to do with reselling them when you upgrade. If that's true, there's no real reason not to let us unplug them anymore.

im with Taipan on this one, would take a lot the dimention away the game like hmm im going into baddle let me just unplug my implants they are to expensive. If any changes had to be done with implants thy shoudl be more dificult to use...after all it is a major medical process of attatching a peace of mechanics to a brain. To go with the general game mechanics you should actually stick a clone into a factory slot to be able to incorporate a implant into your body.
