Hi,
my Character just passed it's first birthday. Ya me.
But it is a bit disappointing that eve does not have a method of acknowledging this. I know the already have me hooked but I think CCP missed an opportunity here.
- Just send a card
- A birthday hat
- Streamer Fireworks
- A cake similar to the Xmas miscellaneous items (with the appropriate candles)
- Something really useful (or just some socks - thanks grandma)
I think I just go and kill something

It would be nice to get an ecard with a random stat in it or a piece of birthday cake that you pop like a pill and it gives you 5% more speed for five minutes. Something little and stupid but fun.
Some interesting stats would be: How many jumps you made How many docks Amount mined Total DPS
Silly things are fun and make players smile and happy, smiling players play more and stay longer.
Yesterday's weirdness is tomorrow's reason why.

You are immortal, who gives a damn...
It's like rl, after a while it's just another day that we go to work, do our normal stuff and for the unlucky ones that are married, it's one of the six times of year that you have a 50/50 chance that you wife gives in and you get your end off.
The others being, your other half's birthday, valentine's day, Christmas day, new year and of course the anniversary. But let's face it, that last one is less than a 50/50, she likely doesn't want a reminder.

It is not about the free stuff, just an acknowledgement of an anniversary.
just think how much a birthday cake with 10 candles, would be worth to the rich old vet who did not get one. (or would the want the whole set). lets see at my calcs that should make a set worth in Plex @ 800 Mill = 528,000,000,000 isk
- 1 9,600,000,000
- 2 19,200,000,000
- 3 28,800,000,000
- 4 38,400,000,000
- 5 48,000,000,000
- 6 57,600,000,000
- 7 67,200,000,000

But surely that birthday was my original clones birthday... he died on a completely different day, so my second clone surely should have a different birthday? Or do I celebrate both? And why would I want to, the first guy was a mission carebear, good riddance. And I'm fairly sure my sixth clone was a bit of a jerk, and its his fault I have this tatt on my ass, so I'm not celebrating his birthday either. But come to think about it, my eleventh me is still in stasis in Permimetre, and me and the twenty-sixth me refuse to jump-clone in to him because we find it funny to leave him there, but does that mean his birthday is the one that still counts, and until we arrange an accident (I might need to deal with 26 at the same time), my birthday doesn't count?

My reasons behind this
It could add value to your ship for being old... It could increase the chance of players wanting to destroy it...
