Edited by: RedClaws on 16/09/2006 13:25:39 I realise that frap's maximum resolution is 1280x768 (which is a very weird resolution imo).
The problem i have is that my native resolution is 1280x1024 and it seems that fraps only works when you use fullscreen mode (it just doesn't respond with eve in windowed mode.
So what do you suggest here?
Edit : Why do you all use fraps? Would it be possible to get the same amount of quality using the recording function of windows media encoder (seeing as you use it to convert files lateron anyhow)

We use frap because it is specifically built for games, with low cpu and ram usage (albit with uncompressed avi. files). As for mwdia encoder i have no clue, worth a try though, assuming your system could handel it.

I use a 1280x1024 resoultion and play eve in windowed mode...
Fraps works perfectly for me, so you must not have fraps setup right...
lol you have a hotkey set, right 0_o ?

Fraps would never record 1280x1024 for me either. 1152x864 is the nearest 4:3 resolution.
I prefer to play in windowed 1280x760 so I can do other things while playing EVE, and still record at full resolution.

hehe yes i have a hotkey set :D But every time i pushed it or even the screenshot hotkey it wouldn't do anything. Only when i went to fullscreen mode did the fps numbers come up and would it respond to commands

that's only a max for FULL SCREEN settings. You can still record fraps just fine running your res, just fraps will save at half-res, in your case 640x512. Which is fine unless you want to be able to read ingame text (chats, popup notifications, onscreen dmg, overview, target name/corp, etc).
