Syndrax Gallente Center for Advanced Studies	Posted - 2006.09.16 13:45:00 - [1] I've been checking out and pricing different graphic cards and I found this one, the system reqiurement say a Nvidia Based Card GeForce 2 but will this card suffice? Nvidia Geforce FX6200 256MB AGP 8X 6200 Video Card if not what the best card I should go with on an AGP 4x system (keep in mind that 4x is compatable with 8x cards for those who don't know) And also try to keep it with Nvidia Basded cards I have an ATI card in my system I bought a few months back and regret every penny I spent on it.

A 6600GT would be a far better option, and you can get those for AGP. Another computer I have though, is running with a 6600, and I see constant 60-80 fps with that, on mostly default settings. --- I'll be your huckleberry...

Ok thanks, I just did a search through eBay and came across a few different brands, XFX, BFG, eVGA, MSI...., is one brand better than the rest or are they basically the same and which brand is perfered by most????? Oh and is more RAM actually better because I see some 256MB models and 512MB models?

The problem is that there is only one manufacturer (leadtek) that makes the 7600gt for AGP so its harder to get and likely to be on a higher price. I couldnt find one on e-bay at any rate. Having said that the 7600gs will be very good for the current EVE gfx and should handle the new gfx okay (guesstimate). Out of curiosity what specs for the rest of your computer ? Mainly looking for RAM and CPU info, what wattage is your PSU ?
