i was just wondering. with so many people using ecm in pvp now, does anyone use eccm to counter it? and if so how useful has it proved to be?

Very useful. Imo it's not quite as poweful as it should be but i have been known to fit 2 best eccm's 2 my domi on occasion which makes you very hard to jam with multis. they don't do much against a good falcon/rook/scorp pilot with racials but against say a autopest with 1 multi, eccm can save you the battle

Never. Mid-slots are better filled with ECM and low slots with something else, IMO.
ECCM needs to have some positive effect when it isn't countering ECM to be worth fitting for me. Sensor boosters improve locking speed and range, tracking computers improve tracking and optimal range, ECCM... well it just sits there looking pretty.
Otherwise I'd take ECM and have the advantage of it benefitting fights against all ships, not just ones with ECM. Not that I'd use that dirty module in PvP, of course, but that's another matter.

on certain setups, eccm is great. i fit 2 of them on my scorp for fleet battles. because eccm is not subject to the stacking penalty, the first one takes my sensor strength from 24 to 43 and the second one takes it from 43 to 82. handy if you know for sure someone's going to try to jam you.

ECCM is an awesome module, even more so for ships with high sensor strength. I almost always fit one, even on amarrian ships.

I usually carry a couple in the cargo so i can swap out if i need. the reason they are useful is cos i have taken out ecm scorps in my domi because most ppl use multis and they are very effective if u use 2. ecm is all well and good but eventually you will miss a cycle and then a scorp will usually permajam you. eccm makes ecm ships targets again imo.
