Very nice,
I reduced the 1024x768 to fit on my work phone (Nokia 6021)..
Got it to 250x150 via a program called 'Gimp', it looks verys nice and not dark at all, it fits well between the Signal and Power bars on the phone

Let me tell you a story:
Way back when I was just a little bitty boy living in a box under the stairs in the corner of the basement half a block down the street from Jerry's Bait shop. You know the place. Well anyway, back then life was going swell and everything was just peachy. Except, of course, for the undeniable fact that every single morning my mother would make me a big bowl of sauer***** for breakfast. Awww - Big bowl of sauer*****. Every single mornin. It was driving me crazy.
I said to my mom "Hey, mom, what's with all the sauer*****?" And my dear, sweet mother She just looked at my like a cow looks at an oncoming train And she leaned right down next to me And she said "IT'S GOOD FOR YOU" And then she tied me to the wall and stuck a funnel in my mouth And force fed me nothing but sauer***** until I was twenty six and a half years old.
That's when I swore that someday, someday I would get outta that basement and travel to a magical, far away place where the sun is always shining and the air smells like warm root beer and the towels are oh so fluffy. Where the shriners and the lepers play their ukuleles all day long And anyone on the street will glady shave your back for a nickel.

Very nice indeed. The 320x240 is now the background on my SE k800i.
An idea poped into my head... how about adding some lightning effects on the planet and make an animated background for mobilephones?? :)
I would pay a fair amount of isk for that :)

But, but.. What about the animated thingies for cellphones. I don't really know how they're done but I'm sure I can make them if someone gives me a pointer on how-to. Or at least knows the format/technology they're based on.
I could come up with cool animations but I'd release those as commercial versions for ISK (I think)

I do belive that a standard gif animation would do fine for newer models like k800i and n73. Dunno about older ones.
