Hi, I wanna mine in a 0.3 to 0.4 system using a vexor, with drones for protection.
I have a CPU of 404 and PG of 687, can you please advice whats best for:-
1. High:- 4 miners II \0/ plus 1 spare slot ?
2. Medium:- 3 spare slots ?
3. Low:- 4 spare slots ?

Thx in advance.
When mining, low slots are always cargo expanders or loot nanofibres. Medium, make sure you have a shield booster, an AB/MWD and a roid scanner.

Tbh I will be using an indy to pick ore up, so anything in low slots that makes me harder to kill plz.

Expanders aren't there for ninja mining, they're there to make sure if you get up to answer the phone the second tick of your lasers/drones doesn't overflow your cargo hold.
IMHO there is no point in putting armour mods on a cruiser for mining in a 0.3. Unless you're slow to kill the rats and end up with a chain, they should NOT get into your armour. I suppose if you want a bit of help with shields a Power Diagnostic 1 would help a bit with cap, recharge, etc...

Another way of mining (not many people think of) is to rig up enough Shieldboosting force/power and just ignore the pirates shooting at you.
Do keep an eye on the booster though... even at autorepeat it will shutdown after a long while, so turn it back on when that happens.
(i think autorepeat is the equivalent of a 1000x manual or something, but thats pure speculation because i never counted the seconds)

Almost forgot...
You will need to test cap drainage and equip a few cap power relay's to counteract it.

I use 3 hammerheads and a neutron blaster in case any pirates get thru. My spare Hi-slot has a smartbomb in it. This is not a good combo with drones  . Med-slots have a med shield an afterburner and a cap recharger. Lo has power/cpu boosters and a hybrid mod for good measure. 0.3 and 0.4 mining solo are too easy with this setup. You could probably increase drones and replace the blaster with another miner - I will when I get the skill for that extra drone  |

anything down to .1 you dont NEED any guns. load the drone bay up with hammerheads and 4 miner 2's.. 2 afterburners and a medium shield regen and 3 cargo expanders and loot nanofiber
