Just curious if reverse engineering is still a part of Kali when its released. I didnt see anything updated on it on the "in development" page.

Invention will be in with Kali-1. You won't see Reverse Engineering until Kali-2.

What is the difference? I thought that they were two skills related to the same thing; namely blowing items up to get limited run bpcs to make more.

Well I found the link to explain it. Looks like Reverse Engineering wont be in Kali1 but invention will be. There's a slight difference.

Basically the difference between the two is what you start with. With reverse engineering you start with an item, destroy it/take it apart, and hopefully learn how it was built leaving you with a t2 bpc. With invention, you start with a t1 bpc. Mix it in a pot and blam, a t2 bpc hehe. I do agree with the dev saying maybe its time t2 become sort of a baseline. EVE is filled with veteran players now, and they all use t2, while some can afford faction gear. But no one in their right mind pvps daily in a full faction fit, unless you got isk pouring out your ass. Hopefully when invention is implemented, there will be some actual competition between t2 owners/sellers on hte market. Since i been playing EVE has went from a few thousand people to 30k, and while the percentile of t2 distributors has diminished. The demand is too damn high, and t2 components aren't that uber or rare. It'd be nice to see the amount being produced at least tripled to bring it back how it was when t2 items (such as HACS) were much cheaper.
