Opening Wide-band Hailing frequencies.
Ok, I know this is going to sound insane, but have any pilots out there seen odd looking ships, especially around deadspace gates? A couple of times recently I have warped near to a deadspace gate and seen what can only be described as a 'Flying Saucer' as I heard it once called on an ancient holoreel. Despite my best efforts these 'craft' simply accelerated to terrific speeds, leaving me in their wake.
Please feel free to either convo me or mail me with your reports, which will be treated in the strictest confidence.

Still searching then Roy? Look, as I've said before, no one will believe you until you capture an image or two.

I know that minmatar ships look extremely unusual due to them being made out of scrap metal and garbage, but I've never heard anyone call them a 'flying saucer' before.
And those 'terrific speeds' are known as warp drive activation.

I once picked up something on long range sensors that had the size and mass reading of a battleship, but didn't move like a battleship, register as metallic or have a transponder of any sort.
A more detailed scan indicated that it was organic. I got a fix on it's position and warped in just in time to see a smooth, wriggling, grey mass of... something disappear into an asteroid field.
My attempt to follow ended in disaster as the field was too dense for a battlecruiser to maneuver. A chunk of scordite sheered my starboard bow thruster off and caused the decompression of most of 3 decks.
If you ever visit the Okkelen constellation stay frosty out there.

I bet 1m ISK that you saw a Jove ship. We still haven't caught up to where they were at the Battle of Vak'Atioth, which was 125 years ago. Who knows what kinds of weird **** they have now.....

The oddest things I have seen out there are those creepy Equilibrium of Mankind ships. They've been kidnapping lots of VIPs and hang out around deadspace gates. Maybe they have come up with something other than Amarrian frigates to fly?
By the way, it would help if you mentioned whereabouts you frequent. Space is big and has a lot of things that are unexplained because they are unknown.

It might be a non human ship, after all weve colonized hundreds if not thousands of solar systems and yet as it seems, humans are the only race of beings it seems odd dunnit

I'm not sure if you've suffered from a faulty clone, but it's not very hard to know where they were at that battle. That battle was them destroying an Amarrian invasion fleet.

I never saw anything "odd", but that's maybe just not the feature of space where I fly. But I'm interested in those "oddities", where can I find them?

Seems like a translation subprocessor error. I believe he wanted to elaborate over the advancement of Jovian technology since Vak'Atioth.

oddities oddities... what are oddities? isn't human kind an oddity itself? A species that revels in it's own madness and denies it to the selves? We are an oddity itself, since we live in the same Grimpak body, and we are not afraid to be insane.
afterall the voices in this head allow us to view things from more than one other prespective.
Ships are not an oddity. Gods are not an oddity. Demons are not an oddity. Their creators are, the humankind is the oddity itself.

I think I may have saw that... your cat flies better than you do.
On the topic of aliens, I have no doubt they exist. Just little micro organisms that no one can really see. I must admit that I'm interested and half suprised that no Amarrians have said anything on this matter. Maybe they're still checking their books. ---

Gallente ships always look me like something out the old holoreels - the way I jump when I see an Obelisk is becoming something of a joke in my corp. But the only thing I've ever seen out there that I couldn't identify were these little dancing balls of white light that kept zooming about my ship - someone mentioned something about "Luminants" when I mentioned them in a station bar. I think that was the term. Only ever seen them in rogue drone areas, to date.
Roy, which part of space have you been seeing these ships in? I find myself wondering if someone has perhaps managed to salvage designs for a Yan Jung or Sleeper vessel - that would be fascinating indeed. I'd like to try and get a look at one myself.

I mainly tend to lurk in the Citadel and Lonetrek areas.
I've never seen anything like the objects I've seen on any data file, including ones I had access to whilst still in the military.
I've been given a couple of interesting reports, like this one *scrabbles around for a data chip, inserts it in port and reads from the screen*
'....damn thing was glowing like a sun, tried to target it, but appeared to react straight away, zoomed off like a thing possessed. Never seen anything like it in all my years of trading the systems...'

Sounds fascinating... I've run across a lot of strange things in my time as an archaeologist, but they were always fragments - lost and leftover parts of something weird and wonderful. There are many possible explanations for the things that you've seen, most of which I'm sure you've thought of for yourself, but the mere possibility that someone could have salvaged sufficient schema and hardware to reconstruct something resembling an ancient vessel, or perhaps even found one reasonably intact... well, I'd like to see further investigation, certainly. I wonder if I can clear a window in my schedule to head out that way myself...

Now who's sounding like ancient holoreels? Jeez, I've listened to more frakking aud-clips about this stuff than any of you while mining. They're basically the same general descriptions cycled over and over, with minor differences each time. Nothing spectacular.
But how the frak could there be an organic spacecraft that could react that fast? No creature, not even anything that once existed on the Old Homeworld, could move as fast as reported without suffering some sort of critical injury.
