I would like some tips from those who know how to fly a typhoon for missions..

1st: There are no tech II cap relays ingame. For the same effect you can use faction relays, which sells at about 90m each.
2nd: The large cap battery is worse on a battleship than a cap recharger. Switch it.
3rd: You have no resistance what-so-ever, which is the most flawed part of your setup. It's not any good running reppers all the time, if you take much more damage than they can repair.
I don't fly minmatar ships, so I have no idea if this fits, but it's a general out line of tanking effectively.
Highs: Use whatever weapons you like.
Mids: 100mn AB 3* Cap charger II's
2* Large reppers (or 1 large and 1 med) 3* Active hardeners (Use specific against the rats you're fighting) 2* cap relays.
There, that'll tank much better.
I am Brisi, I am as One. Resistance is fertile.

hmm. I didnt know about the cap relays.. that changes quite a few things on my setup. I should probably fit NOS then to keep the cap recharge rate so i can tank and fit a couple of hardners.. This will have quite an impact on my damage output, but i'll see what i can do

Thats cool, i was thinkin bout rattin in a typhoon also(btw r u ratting angels?)...cept i would probly use..
4x arbalest siege 3x ac 1x tractor or 2x ac,1x nos, 1x tractor
cap rechs...pretty much same as urs
lows, also almost the same, but i tend to prefer more hards, so id use 1 lar 'accom' or something, 4 hards, and maybe 2 cprs...but who knows..the more hards the better....

for missions go with cruise missiles, you will face mostly cruisers/frigate anyway, so you don't really need a full siege config (until you do an all bs mission)
also you will be able to fit 3 1200 instead of 2 1400 (and whitout RCU)
mids are ok
for low drop the medium repairer (the lar II is enought) and a damage control and a 4th hardener or a damage mod.

I changed a few things and came up with this
(i) I gave it's tank an enormous boost
(ii) My damageoutput has suffered alot, but if it means that i'm able to survive without any problems it's worth it. My drones will be my main weapon against any cruisers and frigates, while my cruise lanchers will eat away BCs or BSs
(iii) No longer using relays. NOS will help me get the sufficient regen I need to keep the LARII going indef.
Here goes:
Typhoon - Concept MkII
HIGH 'Malkuth' Cruise Launcher I 'Malkuth' Cruise Launcher I 'Malkuth' Cruise Launcher I 'Malkuth' Cruise Launcher I Heavy Nosferatu II Heavy Nosferatu II Heavy Nosferatu II Heavy Nosferatu II

Any help or tips is appreciated

Target painter shouldn't be necessary with a cruise missile setup. If you're going to be ratting vs battleships, sieges would be preferable, in which case the painter would, in fact, be useful against cruiser/BC spawns. However, you can probably do fine with 4 cruise and 5 heavy drones, it'll just take a bit longer. Personally, though, I doubt you'll need 4 heavy NOS to keep your cap up, particularly with only one armor rep on there. I'd swap out at least one or two NOS, upgrade to siege launchers, and throw on an autocannon or two instead.

if you pve you don't need all that nosage
with decent energy skill 4 energy mods are enought to run endlessy a lar, with a bit of management even 3 are sufficent but let's go with afk tank eheh :P
also imo better to fit a missile damage mod instead of a TP, expecially if you go with cruisers
so my suggestion is to drop NOSes (maybe you can keep 1 or 2 if you plan to use only 3 energy mods) and replace them with some guns, 1200mm if you have space or even 720mm
a tractor beam is also a good addition as it cut the loot time :P
this should free low slots for damage mod or more tankage

Mixing Nos with a longrange weapon layout isn't the best idea.
The phoon has a crappy sensor range to start. The drone link augmentors are pretty useless. Drone range without mods is 60km with scout and EW drone skills at 5.
If you run into fitting problems, use 720mm ari instead of the AC.
TP helps a lot for all your weapon systems, and torps aren't worse than CM. For small targets you have a couple of drones around.
Phoon likes damage control and EAN under many conditions more than 3 hardeners.
You got no EW, barely any tank, no speed. Your phoon will die a horrible death in many L4 missions and it wont stand a chance in PvP. For massive tanking when you're breaking into some of the harder missions, it loves a cap booster.
Without any damage mods you'll not even do nice damage. Please check the other phoon threads for some inspirations and discussions. Visiting the scrapheap challenge site will be pretty good too.
Phoon is versatile = You have to refit it often or bring friends that help on your weak points. --*=*=*--

I would go for:
4 Siege Launcher 4 Autocannons
AB Web 2x Cap Recharger
Large armor rep 3 Hardener 1600mm RT 1 BCS II 1 Gyrostab II
5 heavy drones 5 light drones
still 25mŠ left

With dual 425mm autocannons, yes. Maybe you can go for 650s with pretty good fitting skills.
The phoon has lots of CPU and isnŠt very hard to fit.

If i replaced my high slots with the following
HIGH 800mm Autocannon 800mm Autocannon 800mm Autocannon 800mm Autocannon Heavy Launcher Heavy Launcher NOS NOS
Would that be better for say level 4? Or would artillery be better since im mostly out of harms way?

This setup will work worse than my Rail-Ferox in lvl III. If you are going to use it in lvl IV with this crappy tank you posted above you gonna die in 60 seconds.
1. Look at the ships boni and select the weapons from it... Heavy Missiels are just wrong dude. And 800mm ACs arenŠt that great either. 2. You donŠt need any NOS if your ships doesnŠt rely on cap that hard. You can fire all your weapons with 0 Cap. With 2 Cap Recharger II you can run a large armor rep + 3 hardenes forever. Cause this are the only mods on your ship that need cap 3. Listen to what ppl are saying. Take my setup or build something around it... yours is just totally...

it depends by your gunnery skill, if is not that high missiles are better
also if you fight against cruisers that keep distance... good luck to chase them :P
for missions imo a phoon fitted with autos as primary weapon is a bit wasted, with a setup like that probably a pest will perform way better

I really appreciate help, but I've never flown a typhoon before, nor have i used large projectile. So i dont know how they will work compared to medium sized guns. I want a tank that can keep going in mission. a combination of the raven and the domi was my initial idea. But it's all ideas. You dont have to be rude just because someone posts a weird setup. Maybe it works, maybe it dont. But anyways.. thanks for all the help.

When i npc I usually do it in a Tempest but i've been playing around with the phoon aswell. my fit is:
4x arbalest siege 3x 800mm ac 1x tractor beam. (4th Ac wont fit anyways unless you use dual 425 or 650)
100mn AB 3x cap recharger II
1x Large armor rep II 1x EM armor hard II 1x Thermal hard II 1x 1600 rolled tungsten 1x PDU II 2x Ballistic control II (since most of the damage comes from the torps.)
I can hold cap pretty well, and this is ofcourse against Sansha.
i've got 5 light, 5 med and 4x heavy drones.
works pretty well :)

I seem to be repeating this a lot recently :P
4x Siege, 3x Whatever, 1x Tractor Beam 3x ECM, 1x Cap Charger Large Rep, Med Rep, Hardeners 5x Medium, 5x Light
Go to town. Laugh at anyone who tries to gank you as you jam them. Fiddle around and fit 2 large reps if you feel they're neccessary, but they're really not.

I've run nearly every lvl4 mission solo with the following setup (or slight variants of it)
4 x Cruise (best u can get) 3 or 4 x T2 720's (can swap for T2 425 Auto's if you like) 1 Nos or Drone link (if only using 3 x 720's)
Mids : AB / Web / Heavy Electrochemical Cap booster / Something else (target Painter maybe)
Lows : 2 x Lar (Vestment Reconstructor thingy), Hardeners (rat specific), Damage Control, 1600 Plate
Sometimes i drop the second LAR depending on the mission and switch for another hardener.
Finally : Donres, i usually go with 4 x Ogres, 5 x T2 Medium ones, 5 x T2 Small Ones.
Dump a medium cargo can in your hold to gain a bit of extra space for your 800 charges for the cap recharger. You cant run the double LAR tank forever so you have to run one LAR and then use the other as needed or you will burn through your cap charges too quick. Having said that with the charges you can make the tank last a looong time
With good skils the 720's work pretty nice, but to break those baddies with good tanks you need your cruise, guns and drones all going together. It can all get a bit fraught at times, but the phoons good fun.
For the fast inties, web em and let your med or small drones chomp them up whilst you kill the bigger stuff.

How ? I've run the above set up through the CAP simulator in Quickfit 1.0a and the cap hit's zero after just 156 seconds !!!
I'm having major problems being able to run a large repper AND 3/4 harders for some reason
any help out there?

with decent skills i think you need 3 cap rechargers and a bit of management to sustain a lar+hards
if you are lazy (like me many times) with 4 you can go afk
generally i use something like this for lv4 missions
high 4 cruisers + 3 1200mm + tractor beam or 4 siege + 4 425 or 650mm
mid 3 cap rechargers + ab or 4 cap rechargers
low 1 lar + 4 rat specific hards and 1-2 damage mods (generally missile ones) 0-1 dmg control 0-1 cap recharger
5 heavy + 5 medium rat specific drones

My mission setup
High - 4 x siege, 4 x 720 arty (medium gun)
Mid - ab, web, 2 x TP
Low - lrg rep, 4 hards, 2 x 1600 plate
Drones - 5 mediums, 5 heavies
Very easy to fit.
Torp the BS, pop frigs with arty, heavy drones for cruisers.

4 800mm t2, 4 siege t2 100mn ab t2, 2 hardeners t2, dread gurista large SB or some other with low enough CPU 3 nanofibers, 2 gyro t2, 2 ballistic t2
5 t2 heavy drones

My setup for bloods:
4x t2 siege; tractor; 3x diminishing heavy ab; web(don't need it for npcing); 2x cap recharger lar(t1 named); eanm II; em th hardener; 3x bcu II
With t2 siege launchers you don't have enough pg to fit t2 lar. CPU is an issue also so you can't fit all t2 mods.
It uses very little ammo and with 3x heavy nos you can run the lar forever.
