what do the titan superweapons actually look like? and what are they capable of? also wondering if there is some way i could witness a demonstration in-game.

Try hopping on SiSi for a demonstration, I'm sure if someone on is able to fly one they would be more than happy (at your request) to demonstrate it. Just remember though--if you can see it you're probably going to be down a ship

Each Doomsday Device has its own graphic.
Amarr - Big bright white energy flux expanding to fill your entire screen.
Caldari - Looks a bit like a giant pinkish ball of lightning around the ship.
Gallente - A black hole forms in the center of the source expanding to blacken the entire screen.
Minmitar - Similar to the Caldari but with many missiles flying out in all directions and exploding.
Currently there are no Titans on TQ that I know of, (there are rumors though). Occasionally some of the Higher ISD staff, mainly Bug Hunters, or when they're bored, will bring a Titan out to play on the test server.
I know the descriptions are vague, but they are too cool to desribe. Its just easier to see for your self.

Ferox with 2 large T2 shield extenders, 4 T2 PDUs, 3 "specific" (active and correct) shield hardners... should probably survive one single "EXTREEEEE EEME" blast :)

Apoc with lots of 1600mm Tungstens will hold you through. Barely. If I remember correctly.
Dreads will survive though, prolly the rest of the capital ships as well.

I was on the Test server when TomB was in his Minnie titan. It survived. Unless they upped the damage they did, it survives.
Loaded Quickfit, 7x 1600mm Tungstens give an Apoc 36900 armour HPs with perfect skills. The minnie titan does 37500 Explosive damage per blast. Still got shields with 60% explosive resist to get through as well as a base 10% armour resist.
They might have increased the damage, I thought it was around 27500 before, now it's 37500, so maybe todays Doomsday weapons won't let my little Apoc survive, but it did on SiSi.

Seen a dread on sisi take nearly 50,000 dmg from a titan, but not sure if it was tanked, or just out there in haste for the show. I guess its possible that a regular tanked BS could survive, but highly doubt it.

Which is why I said an Apoc with a stupid number of 1600mm plates would survive. Normal tanks, no. Stupid ones fitted quickly to go and watch TomB? It did.

yes, a BS, and a highly tanked HAC etc can indeed survive a titan weapon, as i have done it many times on sisi, my dread barely even noticed it got hit my raven survied with structure damage. SO its more than possible to survive.

They do 37500 PLUS 'doomsday operation' skill give you 10% extra damage per level. So doomsday operation at level 5 will do 56250 damage.

You have two issues here:
1.) 67.5 billion BPO cost. Even for rich alliances, this is a nice chunk of change. Almost anyone capable of building a titan has diverted the savings toward Mom BPO's and is putting their money on them getting upgraded with special abilities / area effect weapons in the future.
2.) Utility. ATM, titans offer nothing actually USEFUL worth the effort of putting one together. Granted, the Avatar's cap bonus and the others similar gang bonuses are very attractive, but then I refer you back to #1.
It's about effort versus reward at this point.
TBH though, I'm still annoyed that the first Mom on tranquility was given away at the Tournament last year. If the prize for the next one is a Titan, I'm going to be ****ed.

BoB ASCN and LV may get titans and thats all fair and cool but the idea of goonfleet with a titan just seems ..... wrong somehow
