Hey guys/gals. I'm wondering who on here plays another online game/rpg other than EVE. My question; how do you manage it all and keep a life? I'm thinking about diving back into Final Fantasy XI with my brother; who is also on EVE. Anyone else do this and still keep a great career?

I personally don't, but I know of people who do - the catch is that you're going to have to manage your time wisely, so low-time consuming activities and caffeine would probably be your friend .

I play both Eve and Auto assault as well several other offline games. I have infact been knonw to play Eve AND auto assault at the same time, eve in the background doing some gentle mining and Auto assault in the foreground, when I need to do something in Eve I just pull up my car, swap windows and do it. I love Eve

EVE is probably one of the frienlier games to 'timeshare' with as you don't have to be logged in to be advancing skills.
If you've already got a max level character on another game like FFXI or WoW (flameshield on) or whatever you'd not find it hard to play eve and still take part in end game content like that 1000000th run through Molten Core...

MMO: WoW, EvE, GunZ (ESL League) Rest: Natural Selection, The Specialists, Counterstrike, Quake 3
I play shooters etc in the evening and at night I whip out the MMOs... though I dont play wow much. Action in EvE starts latenight usually, so I can play shooters in the evening.

I like Eve. Don't get me wrong. But with skill training being the way it is, I have a somewhat lackluster sense of accomplishment when playing. All it takes is time for your skills to improve. You don't even have to be logged in. Of course, how you utilize those skills and equipment is where good players shine from the bad ones but still. Playing a second mmorpg that requires more effort to advance has been quite enjoyable.
Discuss how horribly retarded my opinion is if you must...

The idea that while I am at work making a living and training Industry LVL 5 at the same time is great! I'm not signing my life over to EVE and I am still getting somewhere. Obviously it's [two online RPGs] not a common practice for the casual gamer. I do play Halo and some other shooters online, but those can be played and dropped at anytime; unlike a MMORPG, which require commitment. I guess the key is your "level" of commitment. Obviously you'll delve deeper in one than the other . . . So any career holders on here playing EVE, or am I the only one?

I play Oblivion these days, fills many evenings. Inbetween I come online to do some stuff, do a couple missions.
Oblivion is a very good time consuming game.
Other then that I dont play any other online games at the moment. But that can change any moment when I purchase a new game...
