Im getting sick of these raiding parties. I need to throw some damage around. So I am looking to put as much damage into a t2 frigate as I can in the least amount of time after one jumps through a gate. (Ignoring them warping off)
Sabre seems nice but it costs too damn much.
Thrasher seems like it can dump some damage quite quickly, but I been here before and I always get owned since almost invariably they live past the first volley and even the second.
Cyclone looks nice. I need to get the tracking up and the lock time down. But now that I look, it costs as much as a Sabre. It probably has more survivability and will allow more warp in/warp out tactics to discomfort the enemy.
Any ideas on how to give T2 frigates a hard time with as few people as possile. ____ "If your not dyin' your not tryin'." "Are you prepared to go all the way, Alexi?" DuGalle |

If you can fly a BS a tanked raven with precision cruise is hte way to go 1-2 volleys per ship and pop they go.
A muninn does well with a sniper fit but enough frigs and you are soonover whelmed especially if they are on top of you.
A ferox with t2 heavy precisions I believe to be good as well as the cerb.
A cyclone has a goodtnak but you need to decide short or long rng. If you can sit on the gate let the 5 frigs hjump in and aggress u you could pop them with autos and if more appear just out tank them for 60 secs (it will require some good skills though) and knowing when your tank will only last for 60 secs more.
Podding is better than a 20 jump home |

Unless you can fly the Nighthawk, I would go with an apoc with 8 med pulses and a coupple of dmg mods and as much tank as possible.

Well since I am considering Cyclone and Thrasher and Sabre I guess thats hint that I fly Minmatar.
I can fly a Tempest and Typhoon. So you think perhaps a sensor boosted typhoon with precision cruise? ____ "If your not dyin' your not tryin'." "Are you prepared to go all the way, Alexi?" DuGalle |

That's only effective versus newbies. Killing a smartbomb battleships with a frig fleet is easy as pie if the frig commander has a clue.

Muninn is excellent with tremor, warp when they get close, go to new sniper spot, repeat. But the overall best way to kill T2 frig gangs? Sleipnir. 220's hit very well and the tank, well lets just say its good. Don't discount the Nighthawk either seeing as frig killing is its role.
CFW (Certified Forum Warrior) I kill people ingame too. |

Don't even need a Sleipnir, a Cyclone does an excellent job at utterly stomping AFs. Interceptors can wiggle outside of gun range (I ******* hate the Crow...), but your ample drome bay should brush them away. ---------------------------- Remember, killing a Goon isn't murder. They don't have souls. |

I fought a sabre in my retribution and he blew up first without damaging my structure. He also was caught in his own bubble. So they're probably not a great idea (not sure how they fare against other AF's)

Thrasher is great 7x 250mms 1x standard launcher ab, web, disruptor as many plates as you can fit
will pop practically any inty before it can kill you, also able to track crows orbiting at 15k+ with good skills
not so good vs AFs, however
the Amarr destroyer can throw out some pretty mean damage, esp with 8x dual heavy beam IIs, gleam, MWD and some heatsinks + a plate or 2. what it cant do is tackle :/
not really tried others tho

I feel a bit shy about using the Sleipnir to kill frigates. Thats a bit costly. I'll be putting up a lot more isk than they will. I think I will try a short range Cyclone though.
I want to have a small fleet of these so I can loose them without too much pain.
My missile skills still suck and I am still ****ed at CCP for trying to shove missiles down my throat. But I do have drone skills so I may try the phoon with precision + drones, anyway. ____ "If your not dyin' your not tryin'." "Are you prepared to go all the way, Alexi?" DuGalle |
