Heya all i was just wondering if the gm's could perchance clean up a tad of all this secure can mess.i recently visited oipo for a little cruiser action and could bareley navigate thru the mess there must be like 40 or 50 cans FFS wont all of eve just get completely gummed up unlesss there is some sort of measure against people just leaving cans at belts/gates etc and not taking them back ?
dont even bother turning your mods on-it wont help. |

I have to agree with this. There should be a limit to the amount of cans allowed by a corp to deploy.

ancoring skill should effect how many objects u can ancore inspace. Thats the only way u are going to stop people from deploying secure containers all over the place

Ya that would also give a reason to training anchoring skill!its anoyying how many cans are at the hakonen to obe jumpgate

I agree.. Waay to many secure cans just floating around littering space serving NO pupose most of the time. Never anyone mining near them. Cans should expire if maybe not used for a week. Else they should NOT be indestructible give them maybe 5000 hp or summat but at least we could clear em up ourselves. What the hell they made out of why arent ships armour built out of this stuff if its indesructable? Lets Petition CCP now Clean up Space. Maybe only allow 5 anchored cans per person any more an you have to get your existing ones.

I don't mind all the cans being there, I just don't like the fact they are secure.

I agree with you about the cans, I've flown into belts with 20+ cans, and they are about 5km away from where the good ores for that system spawn in. Having a limit for the number of cans like 1 or 2 cans per anchoring level would be a good limit. Also the only time I've seen these can's used is just after DT when a ship 'warps in' mines the nearby good ores, then 'warps out', i.e. someone logs in, mines the good stuff, then logs out when there is no ore left to mine.

Is space not big enough for a few cans?
I have seen many on my travels and never thought 'what a mess!'
Most are there for a purpose as how many people just throw 200-500k away?
You want it I got it....erm unless I sold it, then some one else has it!?! :/

The issue is with mining - people put cans all near the good ore and its a mess. In the high security systems this is a real problem, and I don't have the skills or experience to venture into low security space yet.

Giant cans should become unsecure after so many days/hours so that they require anchoring again. That way if people leave them they can be stolen or will disapear 2 hours after unanchoring

Being saying this since it came into effect, not setting a cap to the numbers you're allowed to anchor will pose a problem of scordite proportions.

I recon that secure cans should eventually decay and blow up like normal cans but their time would obviously be far greater like a few days.... also they should be destroyable like normal cans
