Today at 01:16am Hendo001 Ceo of Quantum Tech Mining sent the following evemail to the Ceo & Directors of Kaos Order.
The mail reads:
Subject: Terms of your surrender.
To Cloaker CEO of Kaos Order.
This evemail is to inform you that we want you to surrender to QTM.
To effect the surrender and us ending the war with your corporation, we
require you to do the following:
1) Pay QTM a total of 500 Million isk for compensation to QTM.
2) Also pay the 300 million isk can removal fee
3) Make a Press Release stating that you made an error in warring QTM.
4) In the press release publicly state that you are sorry and apologise to
QTM.
5) Leave all QTM personel & Allies alone indefinately.
Should you wish to negotiate your surrender you have untill downtime
Thursday the 21st of September.
Failure to surrender to us will mean that the war continues and we will
escalate our demands 1 week from the Thursday Deadline.

I would like to point out that Kaos Order war declared QTM.
QTM Declared the War mutual and we see fit at this time to demand that Kaos Order surrender to us with the above conditions.

LoL , If what I read is right aren't you ransomming the corp that actually war dec'd you ? ebilness if true , how silly they'd look to war dec a corp only to be held to ransom by said corp

Ransoming a 'PvP' corp that thought it would attack 'helpless' miners. Much respect  This should be a sticky so anytime people whine about being griefed we have a thread to show them what to do.

Thank you for all your support, if it is the wrong section I apologise.
So far they have not responded as of yet.
They war dec'd my corp, in response we have declared mutual and now demand that they surrender to us.
So far they started with 30 members they are now down to 28.
No engagments today, although they did loose a crow to our pos this morning.

Well their corp destroyed 1 of our mackinaw's and some of our frigates.
Also think of the ammo we have used to kill their ships & podds...

I must add:
Thank you all for the support you have given to QTM. We may be a mining corp., but we are here to make things happen and accomplish goals. If another corp decides to interfere with these plans, we take action deemed appropriate to correct the interference. We have a section of the corp. dedicated to this contingency.
As for Kaos Order, what do you say about a pvp corp. that cannot stop QTM from mining?? I'm not sure either. And as for the mackinaw we lost.... a miner afk in a belt.... what-do-ya-do...
We shall see if Kaos Order decides to meet our demands. If they choose not to, we will be forced to notch the war up a bit.

First, let me congratulate QTM on not rolling over and dying as most others in your situation due out of misplaced fear. Also, thank you for not being silly and simply declaring, "Oh well we are so afraid of a fight we are simply going to dock up and log for a month so you get bored and go away."
That being said, you do realize that making a war mutual simply makes it cost them nothing to war dec you, right? I mean, they can still retract at anytime and if you want the war to continue you must re-declare on them.
A lot of people get confused about how mutual wars work. They are a mechanic that was implemented so corps/alliances that want to have a war against each other (i.e. RP corps/alliances) can do so without incuring silly costs. They do not force the declaring party to surrender to retract the war. |

When they threatened us we already started a war vote.
They just struck first
If they retract the war then so be it. My corp can get back to normal operations & continue to expand.

This thread does belong here to serve as a warning to others. Don't wardec mining corps and just expect them to roll over...it may end up backfiring.

Our demands will escalate soon enough.
So far still no response from their ceo.

Yea hendo was first guy to pop me, but since he took the time to tell me how to avoid the same situation in the future, i jumped at the chance to get in his corp when it formed. No he didnt pod me....i really think he only pods smack talkers.

Weird post. I would be surprised if your demands were met because of your presentation. It's all about saving face now that you've publicly aired a demand of surrender and restitution. No corp worth their salt is going to answer to such demands as it would open the flood gates for others to extort money from them if they're willing to give in to your demands so publically.
To me, it seems like this is more of a smear campaign at this point than any sort of real surrender request. If you really seek restitution, do it privatly. It is a game afterall and people are going to be defeated from time to time. However, the more we see public humiliation, the more we see corps disbanding and players leaving the game vs. a private matter that satisfies the conclusion of the war for both parties.

I don't quite understand why would someone leave the game.
The logic is to leave the corp, like already some have done.
In love and war everything is fair.
No one here is making people leave the game, we are here to lower the moral of a corp that Declared War on a mining corp.
The truth is out there, we have been wining. Small wins? Yes, but thats because they are all runing and spread around the galaxy. They didn't seem to have a problem to harass us while we mined...as soon as war broke out....there's none in sight, not even their own officers. There is a officer that didn't even know that his corp was at war.
