Edited by: SengH on 19/09/2006 02:56:45 Just a fair warning to whoever runs this cosmos mission. It just ate my claymore in under 60s. I had high 80-90% resists to all and 10k shield hp. The warpin placed me right smack in the center (unable to choose warp to distance).
The 3 scramming frigs, 14 cruisers and 3 BS + sentries all aggroed off and it went downhill from there.
nice screenie for anyone who wants to run this in the future ---------------------------------------- Back for a month cus BS5 finished..... |

You don't think a mission that can wipe out a 90%-resistant ship in less than a minute is dangerous? What do you fly, a Legatus? ________________________________________________

I suppose he was talking about the screenie, not about what happened. By the way, wouldn't it be much more "profitable" to ultra-tank just those resists you NEED for the mission instead of getting all up ? I learned that the hard way with L3 high-end missions in a ferox for instance :)
Still, 10k shield HP and 80% resist, dead in less than a minute... that's over 1000 DPS incoming or so (over 2000 DPS for 90% resists, really does depend what enemies you have there except that visible dominix). That doesn't sound insanely high, just really hard. Wouldn't you be able to get, say 95% or even more kinetic/thermal resists with same overall setup ? Then probably the tank can keep up long enough to start making some damage.
That, or as usual, bring a large(r) gang and keep warping in/out as needed :D __ Always question everything. Including yourself. |

On cosmos missions you cant tell what damage a NPC does... Ive run into angels firing EM torps instead of explosive.... serpentis firing explosive torps... I have no clue what damage types to tank so I use the claymore tank all damage types and hope for the best. ---------------------------------------- Back for a month cus BS5 finished..... |

True. Which said, according to EVEinfo.com, the assorted FON ships all do kinetic and thermal; but if you want to take that as gospel, it's your ship at risk, not mine ________________________________________________

Obviosly you never been in Ani's plantations. Anyway, this mission is very easy in solo Enyo. FON ( Friends of Nature) are weak LOL

hey hey
the problem with the BC class ships is that they live in the sweet spot. anything and everything tends to hit you. the mission certainly looked easy and olvins right that has nothing on the ani plantations of bigger complexes.

I finished the ani pirate missions with a T1 tempest O.o. Ive run them twice through already cus they changed the pirate agents from 3 guardian angels to 1 guardian angel and 2 thukker. It wasnt that bad. Also how did you run it in an enyo as you get webbed straight off the bat and you'll start taking almost full dmg from the missiles? (you warp in within 10km of the frigs) + they have mwd. I'll call in a friend to give it a shot, but most likely it'll get popped. The earlier missions with FON in the skeleton complex were easy I agree and I could tank them without even having to turn on my SB. Thinking about using an ishtar with armor rep drones as another solution but that'll have to wait till I can get another 2 hrs free. ---------------------------------------- Back for a month cus BS5 finished..... |

I finished all Ani missions and plexes in assault frigate, solo. Probably hardest place was last room at Jakela Plantation, where you need Amarr Navy General II insignia to enter and upon arrival all 15 cruisers and 9 battleships aggro regardless of what you do. Here is the screene. Guess what I am flying.

It's all depends what type of webbers/jammers are present. Some are very easy, since they come at the blasters range, and blaster Enyo will toast them within few seconds. Some, like Ice Breakers in Survey site at Skeleton complex are pretty nasty since they keep 8km distance and it takes forever to kill them using rocket launcher, drone and iron ammo. Bottom line, assault frigate will tank damage better then any other ship class because of it's size and generic resistance, assuming that you know how to fit it and that you use it against rats which do you highest resistance damage.

wait how did you manage to get the standing to run both the angel agent and the minmatar agent at the same time? considering their both enemies of each other... Its not hard to know that your using a wolf to tank, heck someone showed how you can survive the amarr titan's max skilled superweapon in a plated wolf :P. Granted I dont have 11 days to train for an enyo and blasters, im pretty hosed since im minnie only.
Also some of the missions required getting 400m3 of drops from the plexs. I dont think you can fit that in an AF unless you wanna do multiple runs. Anyways thanks for the advice. I'll have a friend whose gallente specced try and help me run it. ---------------------------------------- Back for a month cus BS5 finished..... |

My friend talk to the pirates (angels). Besides, I can do Thukker Mix myself and I have an alt who can do Caldari and Amarr.

As far as I remember the only large single item dropped in Ani plexes is Navy Issue Amplifier (200m3), which is pain to haul in solo AF. Other then this case, few runs is not a problem.
