If there are any errors / missing elements in the following I would appreciate to hear.
You have 6 different standings with NPCs.
NPC's Alliance -> PC Corp:
NPC's Alliance -> Player:
- Can be used to unlock agents.
- Higher lowers broker fee at stations.
- If it gets really high, some factions give you ship BPCs.
- Blocks agents at -2.
- They shoot at you at -5.
NPC's Corp -> PC Corp:
- Can be used to access Jump Clones.
NPC's Corp -> Player:
- Can be used to unlock agents.
- Can be used to access Jump Clones.
- Higher lowers broker fee at stations.
- Block agents at -2.
NPC -> PC Corp:
NPC -> Player:
- Can be used to unlock agent.
- Block agent at -2.

Some more details about the individual elements.
Agents refer to normal agents, epic arc, R&D, COSMOS etc can have further demands. Each agent unlock when you don't have a -2 block and the following standing:
Agent Level Required Standing
1 None, also ignores block.
2 1.0
3 3.0
4 5.0
5 7.0
The special standing requirements for each R&D agent is in their attributes in game.
Formula for brooker fee: BrokerFee % = (1.000 % GÇô 0.050 % +ù BrokerRelationsSkillLevel) / 2 ^ (0.1400 +ù FactionStanding + 0.06000 +ù CorporationStanding)

Afaik it affects reprocessing and I think I have 2-3 corps from which to draft L4 missions I barely run. I believe this lead to being able to make JC's somewhere in nullsec but pfff... effort... I copy myself at a Rorqual from time to time so it doesn't really affect my gameplay that much. I borked a lot of standings by shooting NPC corp dudes as well. |

OP - Next post, why don't you rehash how to rapidly raise security status. Also, I'd love to see a laundry list of the penalties suicide gankers must endure while they carry out their lonely tasks adding content to EVE Online.

Since they removed standings requirements for POS's, the only "real" reason to even bother with high standings anymore is jumpclone access, since it requires individual corp standings and not just empire standings.
Shame, I used to make a boatload with corp standing services. But CCP killed an entire career off. :( |

You can join as a solo player or a corp.
As a solo player you need unmodified (before social skills) player-faction standings better than 0.0. Once you join you will leave your current corp and be in a NPC FW corp.
To join a whole corp you need corp-faction standings better than 0.0.

Thank you. Think I got it but need to test if a new player with no faction standing can join FW, or if they need to have above 0 standing. |

Biggest error I can get from the listed formula is well within rounding of the number of digits I can see my standing with. If you have an example where it is off, please share.

Your formula is indeed correct and actually factors in the 70% based on faction and 30% based on corp standing. |
