Hey guys, I was chilling out last night in Querious, doing some mining, when I noticed that one of the stars near what remains of Caroline's Star was pulsating. The pulses seem to happen at a rate of about once every 2 seconds or so.
Is there any way to know why the star is pulsing, or even which star it is?

It'd be cool to know what's going on with it. |

It seems that this isn't a one-off occurrence, as this was posted on reddit too: https://gfycat.com/CavernousCircularHadrosaurus

If this is a new fancy art style, I'm still intrigued why only some stars are affected, and which stars they are. I'd love to know if these stars pulse when you're in their systems too. |

There's been many claims of oddly behaving stars since the Caroline Star event, So far, most of those got debunked fast.
However, this one does merit a deeper investigation, as multiple people have now been tracking & observing it!
Keeping track of this, both ingame & forum. If more gets found out & verified, you'll notice it in the next edition of Aurora News!

Haha, nope - just maximum zoom with LMB+RMB. Then I print screen'd that and cropped the image to what you see in the OP. |

I thought it's from a camera. XD

Again, this is at maximum in-game zoom, so some things look a bit weird, sadly. |

Zoom in on any star close-by. Alot of them are doing it. Near or not near caroline's star. I think this is just some kind of rendering going on that we haven't noticed before.

Is it the same star, a pulsar created by compression of the core?

Several? You're the first person I've heard of that has claimed more than one. Can you confirm this somehow?
I (and several people) have confirmed the pulsating star near Caroline's star (now Caroline's Nebula). I've been watching it for the past two days ever since Proteus dropped. The star in question varies at about 0.5Hz probably over 2 magntudes (very difficult to know that since, to my knowledge, no star has actually been calibrated photometrically in New Eden by data available to Capsuleers).
I don't think this is a new graphical issue. While I wouldn't put that past CCP, I'd expect something like that to be on a high graphic settings like those of asteroid dust and light rays. My main play machine, a laptop, is put on low graphics modes and this star is obvious once you look at it.
I think CCP is preparing something. Watch that star!
I'd agree with Rawketsled that its a K-Space star, by which I mean its in Jovian space like Caroline's Nebula and is probably connected to wormholes somehow, but right now that's just a guess. I know of no data that supports it yet.
Has anyone yet tried to triangulate on this star astrographically like we did for Caroline's?
