I partially agree. Threats are just stupid. Do these people really think they scare anyone by promising revenge? Hell no. It just makes them look stupid. Now, a good insult on the other hand, that can work wonders.

I wouldn't mind, but I only played a cheap scam on the guy... always makes me chuckle when I see the -20 rating with his corp tho :p

the thing that personally ****es me off is when random noobs around 1.0 start sending msgs like "If you lock on u better have something to back it up with - otherwise, don't even...". This p1sses me of cuz most of those cases are just noobs confused by the warning window

The whole "noob-with-a-chip-on-their-shoulder" thing gets to me, too. One time I was looking around some belts and I saw someone pop up in my threat window. It was some guy in an indy with a 50k bounty on him. I had a negative rating at the time, too, so I knew I was showing up in his threat window, too. I sat there for a while watching him to see what he'd do. He just sat there mining away. I figured "maybe he doesn't know he has this tiny bounty on him", so I sent him this really nicely worded evemail letting him know that he might want to do something about the bounty if he didn't want someone to just pop by like I did and decide to make a quick 50k. He came back with this really vitriolic reply about how if I tried anything I'd be dead before I knew it.
So of course I've been watching for him ever since...
