It's doubtful, not unless ccp can gather evidence that link most of them to ebay isk selling. Although hopfully CCP will permaban all that exploited this bug.

Two items:
1. Anyone who thinks EVE's economy wasn't broken before this is wearing a blindfold. Let me show you the T2 lottery that has spat upon EVE for years now...
2. This definitely puts Red Alliance's ability to hang on into a new light. Instead of oh, how amazing that they manage to last and last, now we find out it is simply a matter of unlimited resources and hardcore organized cheating. Yes, it is easy to maintain morale when you can provide any amount of ISK desired for any purpose needed. "Hey John, feeling bad about those BS you just lost? No matter, go buy yourself some new ones. $$ Hmm... we need some more POS, ok, buy some new ones. Shucks, took a bad loss there, shrug, wait a couple hours and it'll all be replaced."
How distasteful.

Doubt it tbh, first I highly doubt CCP will do anything anyway, but, even if they DO then the ones involved will just buy new high end chars with ISK or mods they have stashed away, it will be a hassle for them, and will slow them down, but no doubt all involved will be back in-game in no time.
But ofc, this is unlikely, at worsed they will get a "please dont do it anymore kthx".

QFT
When you have limitless funds, its not so hard to stand against a 2000 man alliance with a 1/4 of that number.

results out of the bug:
Inflation of ISK on the t2 & named t1 market (check the price curve t2 items do lately). Regular players with 10h max a week won't have enough time to get the money to afford these items. The wealthy of them will be pushed into the arms of ISK sellers to be at least a little bit competitive. Now the question is: Does CCP have their hands any way in it or not? Because that's a sh1tload of cash which is moved on the ISK sales market currently.

My initial thoughts about this as well - "poor Coalition bastards". Anyways, in honour of my corp name and the 4chan tradition of Unlimited Blade Works parodies (who knows, maybe Dark Shikari might appreicate this)...I present to you Unlimited Isk Works!
I am the bone of my complex. Exploits are my body, and eBay is my blood. I have killed over a thousand overseers. Unknown to want, Nor known to honesty. Have withstood bans to run many complexes. Yet, these hands will never be clean. So, as I farm - Unlimited Isk Works.

I feel that as paying customers of CCP, and loyal residents of New Eden, we deserve some statement from CCP so we know the current status of this issue. This doesn't have to appear on this thread ofc. Dev blog, whatever, but i'd like some closure. ------------------------

Agreed. I do care about when CCP actually found this to be an issue, however at this point I just want CCP to deal with this matter at hand in a definitive manner. A definitive manner does not equal slaps on the wrists and a "don't do it again" speech!

Yep. As you can see, the coalition's problem is hardly one of lack of ability; but of one where we are against an opposition who will pull any trick/exploit to survive. And you've just seen one of their main ones --------

I know everyone wants a definitive answer, and I also know how many of the people posting here feel about the whole situation.
What I am also certain of is that CCP are probably working on this issue like mad, it has only been few days since the brouhaha started on the forums and CCP actively began pursuing the problem.
I would give it a few days and see what happens.
With the current petition load and crazy stuff that has been happening it will take a little while to go through the logs and other stuff to determine the magnitude of what has been happening.

RA must be deploying 1 unit per type of items in Eve, "backup" shuttles and frigates all over their space as we speak...
besides, the nodes would crash as soon as players started to move out of Jita...(cluster coding FUBAR 4tL)

Edited by: Blake Trillian on 22/09/2006 18:34:32 Hey Kieron-
Nearly FOUR months this bug has been present on the bug forums. FOUR BLOODY MONTHS! And just now you decide to post a little finger-wagging about people exploiting something as massive as this.
Kieron, I and the rest of this community have googles and googles of respect for you and the rest of the GM/DEV/ISD team. This perceptive inaction over FOUR months...of abusing of a KNOWN bug by a whole alliance has just put a hugh tarnish on that respect.
CCP has a LOT of explaining to do to their paying community as to WHY this has been left for so long and what CCP is going to do about it. Not only about all the complexes but how you are going to handle banning a whole alliance. WHICH you are going to have to do if you want to save face in front of your whole gaming community.
The rules you made for you game are crystal clear as it the post you made at the beginning of this mayhem thread.
We would respectivly request an OFFICIAL post from you guys about this incident.
Thank you and respectivly,

There also is no need for complexes, there are mission agents who give out missions just like the complexes are with the neat advantage that noone else can camp em! Its time to transform all complexes into agent generated missions, complexes are crap, concentrate on the good things again.

Please dont derail this thread. The issue here is intentional exploitation of a bug for MASSIVE isk gain plus strong indications of multiple other violations of the EULA with no (apparent) reaction from ccp. Read my previous post. Were talking about 2 TRILLION in 4 months, maybe more.

oh God
This is extremly wrong.
Its totally unfair for the ppl fighting this guys.
Free ISK means:
They can BUY the best characters with more sp. They can BUY game time and have 10 accounts each one in diferent places. They can BUY/WIN ALL, yes ALL t II BPOS auctions in the last 6 moths and get control of the t II market outside alliances(t ii stuff price anyone?). (they are clever so im sure they did it) and make even MORE and MORE money with spec characters bought for isk and pyed by isk. They can BUY all the POS componets and FUELS needs being able to win the ECONOMIC war to any alliance (and this means win or defeat in current EVE). They can replace all their Ships and tII FITTINGS on all their ships soooo easy.
Thats sad.
theres 10000's of ppl fighting in 0.0 for a piece of universe to call Theirs. they are minning his asses to build ships, mods and raise money to buy stuff, pos and more, but no wait, theres 8 characters that are making billions.... nuff said.
Absolutly Unfair.

There is a post further up the page that says that the GM's have confirmed this, which simply reaffirms what I am trying to say.
I take it you completely ignored kieron's orgnial post?
I hope anyone who took part in farming them is banned, and I look foraward to CCP keeping up its tradtion of talking to us, by telling us that corps x,y,zz and/or alliances a and b have suffered massive playerloss for this.
If people plead ignorance on this, I hope the GMs ban them twice as fast. No human is stupid enough to think that a 30-50minute overseer respawn is normal. Killable in-space agents respawn at that rate, and they don't drop loot iirc(ammo and standard rat droppings don't count).

Well, something has to be done about complexes. Level 5 pirate faction missions in 0.0, changing the way complex respawing & access works, taking them out altogether - whatever; there's more than one way to skin that particular cat. As it stands, complexes are a really poorly-implemented piece of the game that are effectively unlimited isk wells (to varying degrees) for whatever party can get enough people on immediately after downtime to run the damned things (and again 12 - 18 hours later).
Still, that particular line of discussion really belongs in another thread; the primary matter of concern here is the relentless & systematic exploitation of what could only be sanely construed as a major bug pertaining to some of those complexes...and the obscene-beyond-all-imagination wealth that has come from that, which has caused (and is causing) all sorts of damage to EVE on multiple levels.
