It's not the Wikipedia part. I really don't spend a lot of time on Wikipedia, but if I need to explain something like OS-tan quickly, Wikipedia can do it pretty easily. It's just more convinient than stammering "It's like OSes, only they're drawn as anime girls by Japanese Otaku, and given personalities."

You DO know that Anime is simply animation that happens to be produced in Japan, and is not a genere inand of itself, right? It's similar to how American cartoons produce everything from The Smurfs to Daria to South Park.
