So after realizing early on that "cool" ships mean nothing with out skills...like the first moment you where actually skilled enough to fly a BS (POP!)...anyway, I'm on my second Navy Issue raven, is there anything besides the obvious goodies I should know? I dont think I've ever seen posts specific to them. By obvious goodies I mean the boost on stock attributes of the actual ship. For example, I am well aware of the 7th launcher! Is the boat just that, just a little better here and there than a basic raven, or does it serve a niche purpose I am unaware of, besides "wow, how much was that?" Ok then, thanks for your time. Oh and my fittings are successful, but almost run of the mill, whereas it's not currently set up for a specific role. So all the pvper's might wig out at the setup, and I welcome ideas from pvp to npc blah blah blah, like I said, it's currently a plain jane> Thanks!
High -7x's xt-9000 cruise, 1 Heavy Dim Nos Medium -1xGisti sheild, 1xGisti booster, 1x T2IF,2x T2Cap chargers 1x T2 Lg. Extender Low 5xT2 PDU or 3xT2 PDU,1x Panda,1x ar.rep Thanks!

I must say that's the most bull**** navy raven fitting i've ever seen and i dont even fly caldari. you're going to buy a NAVY raven and not use arbalest or t2 launchers? Not to mention wtf is a panda, and why do you have an armor rep on a shield tanked ship?

Its a black and white bear that tends to live in China and zoos.
I have no idea why but your comment giggling like an idiot at work. It must be the early shift lack of sleep thing. I have visions of a confused Caldari crew looking at a more confused Panda locked up in a Raven.
I love old characters that post 'I've beeen playing the game three years' when I know their account has been sold on.

This is so funny! Karille, you may have a chromosome deficiency, otherwise you would have gathered from the supplied information that the ship's current fittings are not posted as the "end all", "king" or even an on par setup, rather just the CURRENT fittings as a guide for ideas. LOL, but if it makes your cookies and milk slide down better with no indigestion before sleepy time with your cuddly bear, yes I have all the appropriate T2 launchers and can aptly fit the boat. Thank you for your concern, and your current reading apptitude level will will increase for sure by the time you complete middle school.

Thank you Valan. The panda is reference to the pandamonium bcu. *A panda bear walks into a restaraunt and orders every dinner entree on the menu. The waiter is excited for the tip on a huge bill the bear is racking up and kindly continues to serve him whatever he wants. After the bear is done, he asks for the bill, reviews it, pulls out a large caliber hand gun and blasts the waiter right there on the spot. The bear stands up, walks towards the front door to leave as the horrified manager is running to the aid of his dying waiter and sreams "Why the f*uck would you do that?" The bear replies, "I'm a panda bear, look it up", and tosses him a dictionary on his way out. The manager looks up Panda Bear and the defination reads: Panda Bear; indigenious to wooded lands in china, eats chutes and leaves. * lol |

... I'm sorry, but not only did you misspell "shoots" you also changed the grammar so that the joke doesn't actually work. Which, considering the grammar is the whole point of the joke, is rather serious.
The definition correctly reads, "Eats, shoots, and leaves" so the commas dileniate a sequence of actions, whereas "Eats shoots and leaves" set "shoots and leaves" as the targets of the action "eats."

Ah, clever. But alas, it is a play on words. So yes the words sound the same when read, however...the spelling is different as Chutes and leaves refers to the bamboo chutes, whereas as you say "shoots" is the direct spelling of the interpretation of the word chutes as heard, not written. ...FTW!

Sorry, but you're still wrong. The origin of the joke is the book Eats, Shoots, and Leaves. The joke is grammatical, not a pun. The pun does not even work, because the commas do not properly describe the bear's actions. I would argue that a bear that does not understand the basics of grammar should not be shooting waiters based on the words of an encyclopedia.
Also note that "bamboo shoots" is a perfectly acceptable term:

Hey don't worry Bluetank... I liked the pun and got it. Don't understand why people act the way they do except feeling like they have to go out of their ways to be jerks at times.

thank you sir! I am not sure of the motivation either?! That being said; the book came after the "joke", by a long shot btw. The joke is not based off the book that has the title of this "punch line". It is a mere coincidence. In fact, bamboo chutes is acurate and shoots is "acceptable" as you say. Your search findings dont hold any water since the title of the book, grammatical errors and the basic unitelligence of the general population will always find the "easy" or phonetic spelling of any word. I am not a professional on any of these matters, but to state factually that chutes is incorrect is in itself wrong. bamboo chutes is right, so when read it is funny. As you know, understand and unfortunately, clearly lead a low wattage life- which, no one is stating that he or she is better than any one, simple making reference that the foundation of this non-agreemnet is so trivial and ridiculous way before the true errors are even highlighted. I commend you for adding your wisdom regarding the english language and all of the dynamic features associated with the complexities of grammar and interpretation limited by personal skill and knowledge- to a forum...that was titled appropriately towards the ship fitting of a raven...nice Bluetank now thinks the monthly fee should be increased, lol |
