Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could go to your map, and see if a player station in null was accessible or not? I don't see any reason why this shouldnt be possible. |

Can't you just try to dock and see what happens? |

Except that if you can dock or not depends on the settings of the station and the station owners personal standings towards you.
Which means that a docking indicator reveals settings and standings that are not otherwise visible through in game methods.
It's fairly easy to tell if you can dock though.
If the station is owned by players and A: You are not allied with them, B: It's not in Provi, and C: PFR does not own it, then you can't dock.

If it simply stated that you could dock or not, it wouldnt give any information about standings, only that the station manager have made it availeble to the general public. |

Why would Player owned stations announce whether they allow neutrals to dock or not? If i was in charge, I would publicly say that people can dock whenever they want to... then set them red as soon as they enter the system and kill them when they try to dock. *evil smile*
Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective.

Not all people are straigth out evil ShahFluffers :) I think that CCP should give the players an option to list their stations as Freeports. |

This is where the diplomacy game comes into play in eve. If you don't like playing then stay in high sec. Also not many would allow neutrals to be able to dock in there station because then they could hide in there, so just assume you cant dock and you'll be fine. |

I'm not talking about human interaction through chat or voice. I'm simply saying that an indicator on the map on availeble Freeports in null sec would be a welcome addition for many eve players. :) |

As was stated earlier, it's easy to tell already where you can dock. This is not needed.
EvE is hard. It's harder if you're stupid.
