At the moment im doing lv3 missions with a Ferox using 250 Rails after doing a lot of them with heavy missiles. I kinda prefer the chalenge that comes with using rails but i also like being effective.
Do you guys think the new tier 3 Caldari battleship will be a good option for lv4 missions or the raven will continue to be the best bet for that without doubt?
Thanks.

Caldari favor missiles and hybrids as a primary weapon system. They usually get a range bonus for hybrids which is a lot more beneficial to railguns than it is to blasters. Their "railgun" ships however usually have fewer turret hardpoints than other races turret ships. The Rokh does not, its not really lacking in the missile hardpoint department but it does have 8 turret hardpoints as well.
As to what his blog says all the new tier 3 Bs's will be turret based. IMO I think the raven will still be the easiest for lvl 4 missions, but the railgun BS may add some challenge.

I think the Raven will continue to be better but the Rokh certainly looks to be viable especially with the resist bonus.

In all honesty, turret based ship got better value than missile based. I started as caldari but after trying out missiles boats, I decided to go for turret based ships. So far, I'm happy about the choice. The tier 3 caldari battleship however doesn't seem to be a good mission ship. Aside from having longer range, it doesn't have the damage bonus. This is not going to work well with railguns. It would be a good sniper ship but I think megathrone will out perform it since you can already shoot as far as 250km with it. So the range bonus is kind of pointless.
Bottem line, if you want to use turrets as your main damage source, train for gallente or amarr. Either one would be a better choice. For caldari, raven would be the ship of choice for missions even after the tier 3 release. I really think gallente should be a blaster/drone race and then make caldari the missile/railgun race. Give railgun range/damage bonus to caldari tier 1 and 3 battleship ships. This would give each race an uniqu weapon training path and combat style.

I think the Rohk would be great for team mission running since it can run a much tougher tank than the Raven. Send it in first, then the rest of the gang. For most solo missions the Raven will still be better though. Hard to beat damage type selection, and good at all ranges.

Raven still better for missions. Choice of damage dealt, choice of engagement range ..Raven still gonna be best for missions. Tier3 will make big impact on pvp tho.
