In a few days i will buy research project management and train it up to lv 4 so i can pick 5 agents.
Knowing that invention is coming im looking to choose the field(s) which gave the tech2 BPO of the currently more overpriced stuff when compared to production cost.
Which 3 ships give best cost/sell ratio?
Which 5 modules on game give the best profit to tech2 BPO owners?

invuln field t2 and siege 2 are imo the most profitable
bcs 2 and gyro 2, cap recharger 2 must not be far behind ------

Siege 2 currently sells for 16 times its build cost. That might seem good but it's not even close to profitability of the cap recharger 2 or the power diagnostic system 2.
I'd also like to nominate the t2 sensor booster and most t2 shield and armor hardeners. T2 1400mm howies, 425mm rails, Tachyon beams, cruise launchers, and heavy launchers can't be far behind either.
Having said that... remember that there are loads and loads of rarely used T2 items that hardly fetch any profit at all. I'd estimate 50% of all t2 BPOs out there just sit unused in hangars because those items don't sell. 40% generate moderate profits, and a mere 10% generate very high profits. Something to keep in mind for those who like to yell about how unfair the t2 industry is.

Edited by: Feta Solamnia on 21/09/2006 19:08:58 you are forgetting to apply the prodtime on your calculations. profit/item means nothing by itself.
If I remember correctly, cap2 >>>> bcs2 > siege

Production time is of no interest in this case. If i was thinking of buying a BPO then it would be relevant.Only thing that matters is (sell price)/(production cost)=profit %
I assume the invention will take into account base production cost when calculating number of RP required for BPC. Factory slots ainŠt a problem.

Go for the agent that will let you invent Shield Power Relay II.
Those would sell like hotcakes.

Edited by: Feta Solamnia on 22/09/2006 22:34:34 maybe I'm missing something.
Invention? And what does that have to do with prodcost/profit? Anyone can drop me a quick link? I'm falling way out of date over here.
EDIT: Ah, I get it now. the rev engineering?
Hmmmmm... It will all depend on how it will get implemented. Your bets ladies and gents Prodcost as a base is a good idea to bet on.

Think vice versa: In order to do invention you need two different datacores (as said by the Clover-man). These two fields correlate with the skills needed to produce the T2 items.
So for a Hulk it would be Gallentean Starship Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Datacores
