Not bad. TBH you can put some cheap faction stuff on like the nano plating...reduce your pg and cpu use a bit. Try putting a locus co-ordinator rig and a couple tracking comps on. Now you can snipe garmurs off the field even if they are pointing from 70+km away :) .
In null your biggest threat to a small gang of confessors is going to be just stuff bigger than destroyers. These beam fits will melt inties, frigs and dictors like no tomorrow. |

Plates, armor rigs and lack of nanofiber/overdrive means you won't be that fast, in an already not that fast ship. I would be worried about the ability to dictate/keep range against larger ships. |

Best advice is definitely fit for sniping at 80km. In sniper mode, you will be slower than molasses anyways, so that extra 30km engagement range is going to give you more time to shoot stuff before you have to warp to another ping or GTFO. Forget trying to be fast and kite stuff. In propulsion mode you can do that...but that is not the best mode to be using in a combat situation unless you are running. |

I agree that the 200 dps at 50km looks very enticing. But in order to get that range bonus, it has to be in sniper mode, thus sacrificing the speed mode bonuses. So it can't keep range. Beam Confessor is also very hard to fit, as evidenced by the dual nanoplates. Its a much better brawler imo.
Hopefully the Minmatar TD will be a better sniper with arty and shield fits.

I was thinking going sniper mode at range and switching pro mode to keep range then switch back or for crusers go def mode and go under thare guns with a few inquisitors for logi nothing they can do

The confessor is really just a badass retribution. Depending on how you fit it, you get anything from 55km+20k ehp to 80km+12k ehp or such. And 45k ingame ehp in a c5 W-R GÖÑ
