Hey everyone,
Somewhere down the line once I am all skilled up and can appropriately fit a Vindicator I will be running Incursions as part of a Shield Fleet, probably Warp to Me still looking into that though. My question is obviously these ships and fits are very expensive and you want to take all proper precautions to avoid being ganked and making yourself a target, how does one go about doing this? I know there is no absolute safety in EVE but if I can I would like to lower the risk to a minimum as much as possible on the fitting spectrum, any and all advice would be appreciated.

If the Gank'ers are just there to troll theres nothing you can do.
Otherwise restrict the bling to a minimum... damage mods are good, perhaps an invuln... but dont go overboard.

travelling between incursions is the only really risky time. swop out your bling fit for a t2 max ehp fit and then fly the 20 jumps to the next area. 95% of the problem is now gone.
Money at its root is a form of rationing.
When the richest 85 people have as much wealth as the poorest 3.5 billion (50% of humanity) it is clear where the source of poverty is.

There is no way to avoid being ganked if someone wants to do it, If you're in an incursion flet you're fine since you get remote reps but when travelling its all about having massive EHP (you WILL be insta tackled or bumped so aligning quickly isn't an option).
Swapping your low's to triple 1600 plates, resist mods and a DCII will bring you to close to 200k EHP which makes you significantly more expensive to gank. That's 20 tornado's which are about 100mil a pop, so 2bil of gank ships. changing the TS web to a LSE also adds another 20k EHP.
That level of EHP requires serious organisation to gankg, meaning if you avoid the usual ganking systems you will need to really **** someone off for them to come hunting you with 20+ ships. |

Yeah I am speaking more in terms of being in the actual Incursion not travelling to it however some solid advice here on that which is awesome, anything I can do to my fit at the incursion to reduce the likelyhood of a gank? |

Your fit? Not really. Just be mindful of your surroundings and keep an eye on your directional scanner. If you see a bunch of Catalysts, Brutixes, Taloses, and/or Tornadoes on scan, you should probably warn your fleet and start aligning to something warpable.

Some people run A-type invuln so you are technically not top target in some groups. |

In an incursion group you should have enough remote reps to keep you up regardless. |

Only way to prevent yourself from getting ganked is to fill your mid slots with officer cap rechargers. |

Great idea maybe I should buy ten PLEX put it in the cargohold of a velator and fly it between Jita and Dodixie, sounds like a lovely idea, thank you. |
