I was looking at the item descriptions between the tech2 multispctral jammer, and the tech1 hypnos..
They have identical jammer strengths, same range it seems, expcept the tech2 uses more capicitor power for activation. Whats the benifit of using a tech2 over the hypno's tech 1, since they seem to have identical stats ?

Its cheaper.

Hypno¦s need also less cpu (40 instead of 55 on t2) which is nice when its getting tight.
The t2 multi ecms are usually a lot cheaper than the hypno¦s!
So if you dont need to worry bout fitting or cap use get the t2¦s to save some isk.

So there is no ingame benefit to using a tech2 over the hypnos ? Just one is cheaper to buy ?

Hypnos non-multi:
50% less cap usage
50% greater range
8 less CPU

basicly all tech2 versions are just best named items which are harder to unfit.
too bad that there are some exceptions
