I love quickfit, and use it to make all my fittings, but recently i have found 2 ships that don't work quite right. First off, the Dominix.
I was making a fitting and found my max cap use to be 22.533 cap/sec and my cap regen to peak at around 22.11 cap/sec. This to me means it will drop to 30-40% and bounce around a while until it reaches critical and dumps the cap and i run completely dry. So i went to test the fitting in space. Turned everything on and left them on... seconds roll by, minutes do... my cap is at 91%. After maybe 30 minutes its still at 90% and its holding. This cannot be right. I have the identical parts as quickfit, and i even calculated the numbers manually to come to around the same results. I checked all kinds of sites to see if the Dominix has some cap bonus that i have been missing. None that i can find. So, does the Dominix have some 'hidden' bonus to its capacitor recharge? Does it go up for each Gallente Battleship training?
Another ship i found to be like this is the Vigil. I was just fooling around making some frigates into perma-MWD ships and tried the Rifter (being so fast as it is) and was dissapointed by its speed (2.4 km/sec) so i tried some other ships. When i tried the vigil (heavier, but same base speed) i got the ship to around 3.1 km/sec on the same setup (the same parts). When i finished training Minmatar Frigate to 5 the ship went up to 3.23 km/sec. It would seem there is a hidden bonus to the Vigil speed... but i have not found it documented anywhere. Also it seems to go up by level.
Are there many other ships with hidden bonuses? Or is there a place where they are all documented?

It does have this, common knowledge. Why do you think it's so popular?

The OP is either an attention***** or looking to get some ships nerfed.

Edited by: Kamen on 22/09/2006 06:07:47 As far as the frigates, maybe agility is a factor. I think that at one point in time devs said that inertia stabs (agility bonus) should make the ship run faster when MWD is on.
As far as the domi.. well that would be interesting to see. Can you post the setup you were testing? Maybe even attach your skill xml file.
Edit: Also thought propulsion strength could be afactor, but vigil has even less propulsion than rifter.

You do realise quickfit isnt 100% accurate, and is the reason alot of threads on this board shout overpowered/underpowered etc.
People should stop using quickfit and taking everything it says as gospel and play the game, whats in the game counts, not what quickfit says.

Of course i realize its mainly a guide. But i would like to know the full effects of my ship. Its hard to make a fitting without knowing how much cap recharge i really do get. On speed its not really an issue, its just faster than i planned.
I mainly wonder why they are hidden, and where i can find out which ones have what?
