I have reported it a few times now but when you are warping and you get scramed make it so you no longer see you are warping. This is exremely annoying or just allow us to hurt stuff while trying to warp as it should be since we take damage while trying. One of the 2 will do . . .

Clarification(?):
I have reported this a few times already, but nothing seems to have changed. When you are warping, but get warp scrambled, I think it should show you that you are no longer 'warping'. This is extremely annoying and I think we should be able to fight back when trying to warp away (You've always been able to) since we take damage while trying to enter warp.
I think that's what the OP is saying? Sounds like they want it so that if you hit the warp button, then get scrambled, that you should beable to fight back since you can't warp, and they think you can't fight back, but you can?
Sorry you can't afford a dev so you get me instead ^^ - Xorus I hear Xorus is only 50 isk an hour - Immy Oooh that could get Suvetar for the day! - Cathath For 50, you can have my goat:P- Tirg |

When you try to warp and someone scrambles you, your failure to warp is a hint that you've been warp scrambled.
You seem to have reported that game mechanics are operating as designed... so well done.

Edited by: Xeliya on 22/09/2006 21:41:07 What I mean is if you start warp then you see the bar say warping then someone scrams you it just keeps saying warping and you donno if your not alligned, being bumped or scramed.
The bar should go back to speed and you get the you are warp scrambled sound.

And no after you press warp any shots you hit them with does nothing, only their shots hurt you. It was changed a few months ago to this.

No even I got it, you try start a warp, you get warp scrambled so you can't warp - OK up to here? - problem is your HUD shows you are warping so as you can't when you are in or just beginning to warp fire back, but unlike when you are warping or just starting to warp others can fire on you, which wouldn't be the case if you were in or starting to warp. In other words they can shoot you, you can't shoot them, see the problem? ===============================================

Its easy. He noticed the speed-o-meter stay stuck in "Warping..." state instead of dropping back to "XYZ M/S" display when scrammed. simple.
In other words, he would like an automatic ctrl-space on his shp when he get the scram.

Ok, as for the shooting back, you can shoot back with guns until you actually accelerate in warp (the sudden stop, and then full speed warp). missiles on the other hand will hit, but just for show, no damage is done to them, it happens on NPC's as well as other people.
Will some one please light a match? It stinks in here!! |

Yes which is how it should be and if I remember correct this too used to be how it was before some patch a few months ago that changed it so you can't do damage when you try to warp.

Agreed on all counts.
When aligning for warping out, no weapon should fire anymore (not more missiles than guns) and when scrambled you should immediately receive a message telling you who scrambled you, like for jamming, painting or disrupting.
This feature has been requested many times, but it seems only jammers (who are already first target anyway) display their name on their target's screen.

Guns = insta fire, with a percentage chance of even hitting. Missiles = always hit (unless insane out r·n missile speeds by the target)
If you leave grid after firing the missiles it could be argued that no one was there to guide or target the missile, as such they lost lock and missed.
If your arguement was related to FoF missiles that were fired at an eventually untargetted hostile before entering warp then I could understand your point, but based on what you say it would appear that you want to warp in, insta lock, fire a salvo of missiles/cruise/torps and the warp out.
Time to train some turrets I think, especially if you want to possibly do damage while entering warp (remember the percentage hit chance thing?). --

I am talking about when you are aligning to warp, not after you enter it (aka you are still locked). And FYI I do have hybrids trained and working on arty . . .
So put some missiles on then get a bud to shoot at, warp to something behind you so you have to align and watch what your shots do when aligning when you say warp to.
