Is it better to fill up your mids with Large T2 Extenders which add 2100 shield HP or fill up with a T2 Resistance Amp which adds a 37.5% bonus vs. whichever you choose(em,kenitic,etc.).
I assume if you know that you are going to be up against known NPCs, then your Resist may be a good option. but if you have no idea who you will be up against, the extenders would seem to be better.

Invulnerability fields are great to always have, and not to mention u can always patch up ur racial weakness w another resistance upgrade. So i think they are more usefull than the extenders

for Missions, 100% resists. IT lists which enemies you'll be fighting against in the mission profile, and always the same rats in belts of an area so go with resists. For PVP it depends on the ship. Ferox's do VERY well packing on the shield extenders but not much else.

Even then the ferox bonus to resistances make people place Invu fields/etc to the ship because they reach ridiculous dmg resistance.

It's even better to use active hardeners (Ballistic Deflection Field II, etc.) which add 55% resistance, when you can spare the fitting.

That's pretty much it. You'll find people mix the two a little, to maintain a balance between safety (big shield buffer), passive regeneration (more shields == more regen) and resistance. Invulnerability fields can be used when you don't know who you're going up against, as well.
