I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this, but here it goes.
I got my Ferox destroyed yesterday out of stupidity (another story). So I went to buy a new one and replacement modules. I was in Jita, buying the stuff which may have been the mistake being as laggy as it usually is. As I was buying them I was fitting them to my Ferox. I did notice a lot of lag as the modules weren't going online and they sometimes wouldn't show up in the slots right away. Sometimes taking one or two tries before it finally went into the slot.
So after I got everything (over 20mil in modules), I left Jita and docked back in my home station in Perimeter. I logged off for an hour or so and when I came back, all but the first module I fit (BCU II) were gone.
No trace of the other modules except the purchase records in my wallet.
I put in a petition last night, but the reason I'm posting this here, is to see what usually happens in a case like this? Do I get reimbursed for the cost of the modules or do I get the modules back? I was planning on taking her out again for some ratting today, but wasn't sure if I should wait out the petition.
Many thanks.

DMs will evaluate your case and re-imbursement is a possibility. Everything is logged, and they will either reimburse your modules or tell you some bad news.
This post will likely be flamed by the peanut gallery, so put on your flame suit and just ignore the crap posts.
Hope this was of some help.

Yes I'm expecting them, and usually ignore. Flamers have their own agenda. Mine of course, is to try to get this resolved soon.
Thanks.

Be patient with them - it could take some weeks as they are apparently very busy. I'd "write off" your losses, and when/if they do reimburse, see it as a bonus.
I'm not being fascicous either, just being honest and relating my own experience (still waiting on a reimbursement claim for over 12 months - but as it was only 2 mil worth, I have never followed it up).
Good luck again. Disclaimer: This post is not a flame - just my honest opinion. You can always ignore it.

No, thanks for the opinion and information. Since this is the first time it's ever happened to me, that was my intention of this post really to see what other have had happen as a result of their petition. Reimbursement or replacement modules. I'm far from broke, but it's more of an inconvenience to have to go buy all that stuff again.
Thanks.

You've probably done this already, but in case you haven't... Have you searched assets for those modules?
A few weeks ago, when Tranquility was really having a bad time, I had a similar problem with modules. They eventually showed up in the station I did the fitting in. Weirdly, they didn't show up when I logged on, but trickled into the assets window one at a time over the space of about an hour.

They didn't show up in my assets window last night, and they didn't again this morning. I've tried the search, I even tried docking back in the station (Jita 4 - Moon 4) to see if they were just sitting there and still nothing.

I had a similar problem a month or three back, bought modules but they were nowhere to be found. The GM in that instance refunded me the ISK, so if I was you I'd just buy more modules and when the petition gets answered in a few weeks time you'll get a refund.

I will do that. Sounds like it will be a long wait from the general feel I get from your replies. Thanks again for your thoughts on this.

Well here's an interesting development... Just as I was about to embark on the repurchasing of my equipment... I went through my hanger to see if I had anything there instead of buying new stuff.
As I opened my fitting window... lo-and-behold. Everything was back in place. Just what the hell happened here? 2 hours ago there was nothing.
Well anyway, a happy ending to a very strange tale.

fitting screen can lag badly in some systems especially jita, so the modules might not show up for 1 - 2mins at worst times.
