I was present at the end of this operation (gate lockdown and the last POS takedown). And while I wish I had more time to get involved in all the mayhem (my involvement was very minimal), I have to say flying with the Goons and KIA was a rare pleasure. Good fights all round and the Goons have gained my serious respect.
Respect to all.

Great stories, thanks! The valiant Dread defenses are insane, and I love the group benefit mindset that makes that happen. Good stuff.

Lol, me too...
Anyway eddz, that was an amazing read and I'm going to keep it as a model for any battle reports I plan to do... Youve got talent imo.
I especially love the part where you mention the strategy of a natural predator and effectively relating your own strategy to it in a memeroable peace of great eve strategy.

Good job GF. We had a really hard time getting things in and out of Y9G due to your constant camps. I did laugh when you started warping frigs into pos gun range to kill our warp-to cans...you popped them but then died thus dropping a can of your own
Even though massively outnumbered we had fun.

Very nice account Eddz. If only it was true .... Just kidding.
You guys have played it very well and kept your discipline through out all the taunts and smack. It has been very hard to get a head on battle between KIA and KOS, but offcourse that is not what you were paid for.
Your strategy was solid throughout, and forced us to seek assistance to our cause. As assault pilots mainly, BRS figured that we simply did not have the numbers to defend the few systems we claimed. We got in contact with our good friends in Quam and made a personal NAP with them and later with LV alliance. It was believed that by continually assaulting Goon home space would ease the pressure on our space. However, Goons were slowly trickling in, and reinforcing their precence. This in turn forced us to concentrate on our few systems and their defence.
Allthough well equipped and experienced we figured that numbers alone would be a deciding factor in this war. A move was made to fill our ranks shortly after KIA announced their contract. We got in touch with the right capsuleers who responded positively to our ideas. Due to some complications, some well known PvP corps (who shall not be named) did not join our struggle as we had hoped.
The POS battles were desperate top say the least as wave after wave of Goons Swarmed in on us. A certain ammount of lag did not improve our position.
I congratulate the Goons and KIA for good battles. KIAs contract will end soon and do not be supprised to see me hire them to remove Goons from Syndicate. (Would be funny as hell wouldn't it?)
Anyway, this has been an adventure, my most expensive so far, granted. As long as I go on killing all of you my dear readers, I am content.

Great Job KIA and GF.
I'm impressed, no longer the Adolph Eddz of old, but Eddz Clancy the techno-thriller writer.
A great read and testament to the fact that Seleene's idea is a good one, if this is the quality we can expect. So how about it Forum running people?

Very good read, well put together and was great fun.
One thing that was "slightly" out (and could have made it even more edge of the seat ) was after GOONs mwd the 200k to our fleet it wasnt actualy at that point we mostly got killed, nearly everyone survived that, then we regrouped back at the POS and werent 100% sure what to do untill I warp in on top of your dreads at about 30k and told everyone to do the same.
We used a GOON can that was 180k away or something directly behind you, and it was a kill a dread or ALL die trying, thats when you got us heh.
Not taking anything away from the write up was very cool, just could have added a little bit more suspense hehe.
Btw, killing those POS realy hasnt effected us, the reason the med was there of ours was actualy to promote an attack like Pepp said, thats why it was a medium and not a deathstar heh.

My thoughts on involved parties of recent events...
KIA-When we first heard of the coming war dec from KIA, I was excited about the potential good fights. Last time I had encountered KIA was during the FOE days, and those were some good fights. I quickly became disappointed as we rarely saw any KIA pilots, mostly we saw them if we flew alone. We even tried smacking some on forums to get some action from them. So kudos to KIA for keeping to their game plan. It is what they are paid to do.
Goonswarm-In all the months I have spent in syndicate, I have had no respect for Goons. All the smack and forum junk just left a bad taste in my mouth. But I have to say in this particular conflict they have been stand up. There was only one slip of the fofofofofo, as a tower went down. They are not afraid to bring it and in all the time I have known them they have not been. Even when they die in droves. Just wanted to say that if this is your new policy...it fits you well.
COW-These guys are a great bunch and I would fly with them anytime. I still smile when I think of our first meeting...we had to kill each other to earn respect for one another.
BRS-Never had a better time in EVE flying with these guys.

It will be interesting to watch what happens next. Will BRS and COW leave the area or will they make a grab for y9g after KIA leaves? Or maybe someone else tries to move in. Y9G has 4 Gates (if i am not wrong) and thus is rather hard to keep really secure i guess.
Whatever... i am happy that you all found some fun and whish you even more fun in the future...

Congratz GF and KIA. I've seen what you can do and I must say you have my respect. I'm sorry I missed the POS sieges as I was away but I would have gladly sacrificed my ship for the cause.
As for BRK or BRS as we call them I hope you find a new home, away from Syndicate. You are good fighters I must admit but as pirates you are the worst I've met. This is not the place to talk about that tho; this is the place to celebrate your loss and departure :)
To end it, here's a memorable quote (I went there in a frig instead of something bigger):
Eddie Knight > and sorry about our ships but we didn't know what to expect Two Knives > haha someone apologising for their ships to goonswarm :D

Just out of interest why are some people assuming because 2 Med POS got killed COW and BRS are moving out of syndicate?
Nothing has changed.... if it came to it we could put Large POS on every single moon in Y9G if we wanted to, dont forget our herritage is from POS warfare against RED with V for months on end of which A-WAR was a key player lol.

You will no doubt hang around pirating in Synd for a long time yet Neb, but I doubt wether you would be foolhardy enough to waste POS's by attempting to place them in Y9G. Goons now have a constant presence there, and a 100 man fleet could be assembled as you well know, very quickly should they see it a priority. Your pos would be down b4 its up.
CoW and BRS activity in the soveriegn systems (Y9 and S-U) is low, mostly trying to remove your ships from what we have seen. KIA were out looking for you last night, and we found small camps in MHC and 6-C (for those that dont know the area, these are the 2 infamous Empire entry points), and we found many of you between Reblier and Ostingelle (empire systems), but very very few of you anywhere deeper into Syndicate.
My above statement is the truth, we both know that, but it isnt a challenge. You lost this war, you were outnumbered and outgunned, you had 0 chance from the off. You fought hard, and you didn't shy away, there is pride to be taken in that, but attempting to re deploy and move back into Y9G would simply be a mistake, and could end up an embarrasing decision.
KIA's contract has just 2 days left to run, GF have the control they wanted and they are focused on keeping it I guess, they licked the wounds BoB caused them, and are getting things back to normal in Synd, and from an outsiders pov, that is an impressive attitude.
I have no doubts KIA are now set to -10 for you guys for the forseeable future, so we will be engaging you after the contract ends, but we wont be actively hunting you.
On a side note, good luck BRS, you have been far quieter since the "end" of this conflict, and I know it is a time of change and decision for you, whatever you decide to do, should KOS be involved, you will be succesful I have no doubts, I mean it sincerely when I say this contract has been a pleasure, and above that has taught KIA several hard learnt lessons. (dont engage Kin' and Kab for one unless you have a bloody rocket in ya butt ;) )

Now now Eddz, you wrote a good story - don't go following up by claiming that killing a lightly defended medium means that you have dessimated a group of people's operations, *that's* fool hardy. Maybe you make such statements because in your business you walk away?
As for operating the last couple of days in empire.. Your intel was shocking at the beggining and still is - we've always been based in empire since leaving scalding pass, it's as unremarkable as anything; we come into syndicate when there's fights to be had- it's not as tho we won't continue to be a resident.
So.. Again, Good fight - but don't get delusions of grandeur.
