Hypothetically, if someone bought ISK on eBay with an alt, and they wanted to get the money to their main, how could they do it?
Could they.....
buy a big expensive ship with the ISK, go outside, eject from the ship and scarper. Then the main helps himself to a ship that is floating about in space with no owner, returns to station and sells it?
Or perhaps PvP with the alt, and round up the expensive mods they were carrying, and sell them?

I'm sure you want to know solely for education purposes.
I would call you a retard right about now, but I don't believe it would be very fitting.

I only wanted to know if that was possible - cuz that way there would be no ISK transfer for CCP to find.

But if they find it on your alt and use simple powers of logic with a splash of IP tracking you may be in trouble.
You did buy the ISK on a diff machine in a diff place didn't you? *Hypothetically speaking*

Lol - ok, i can see that trying to work out how to launder illegal gained ISK is not a good thing to be discussing on the forums for potential illegally gained ISK launderers to see.
I'll just crawl back into the crazy world that is my head and leave the subject alone... :-S

Edited by: Rab on 26/09/2006 20:34:50 Wouldn't work anyway, they track individual items very well. I looked at my user file to see if it was where the quickbar stuff was stored to back it up, and in there it listed one item I got from a corp mate by his name and item number, marked as an escrow purchase he made.
So the ship you 'find' would be traced to the other account in 0.03 seconds by an admin, by its ID, last buyer, etc.
Pretty smart the CCP system.

If you buy a big expensive ship and can handle to fly it out of the station then perhaps it would be a better idea to sell your alt here on the boards...
So anyone doing this hypothetically or not is an idiot.

Smashing! Now all ISK launderers can cower with fear. I can imagine they are reading this post thinking '****, get back in the ship!', 'run away!', and 'this meeting never took place' etc.
ok, thread done.

each item has a unique 'code' attached. each items "owner" can be detected (if the DB is set up proper). each item should be traceable then (transaction logs as changes to the db take place)
If not, purhaps a little work on the DB would help in the future to prevent the actions your query is about.
I have items we track via rfid chips, and know everywhere it has been and who used the item and for how long, then who it was assigned to next.... Soon we will be able to track down where it is in real time as long as it on the property, and later, globaly (leveraging rfid and gps).
It can be done, it just has to be set up to do it. FRODO HAS FAILED; BUSH HAS THE RING!!!
