You guys should include systems one jump from the rookie systems in the rookie system list as well.
It's just good wildlife conservation, like having to wait for Deer Season to shoot Deer... you have to maintain the population at healthy levels to ensure a good harvest for years to come. |

Those tend to be filled with so-called 'merc corps' that do nothing but pop/dec the newbs.

I recommend rocket Kestrels, or for the 100% kill even in a 1.0 use a cheapfit destroyer with blasters or rockets.
You can use Atrons in .8 or lower, I've found.
In fact, there should be a subcategory prize for cheapest gank boat.
And most expensive gankboat, and silliest gankboat....:)
I remember last time I stuffed as many smartbombs as I could on a Catalyst and tried to pop a group of those banana boats with it......IIRC it worked pretty good......:)

I love my T1 overkill "Cod-atron" I just love knowing the venture will melt like butter. But the T2 version will ensure the pod, but yes... Atrons!

I expect the vast, vast majority of kills in this contest to occur in 0.5 and 0.6 systems, because there's more miners there.
If we do accidentally pop the odd legit newbie (and let's face it, accidents happen), we'll be sure to give them information that will help them more than the loss will have hurt them.

If filing petitions worked, they wouldn't have to blow them up so much.

Hopefully they'll discover something new in EVE, and most importantly, they discover that they have enough SP to get solo kills already if they choose their targets well. Worst case scenario, they sell it and buy another Venture.

I agree, this isn't about harassing the new players at all. We want to explain EVE to that section of players and help them understand the game better, no matter what direction they decide on.
