So how does one go about lowering hte harddrive usage on eve i was startled when i realized i was over 5 gigs.

Currently using 1.88Gb of space.
I wonder what can be taking up so much of your space?
Could be those macho files or your entire cache?

cache is 2.1 havent had to clear it yet but I guess its time.

600 MB in the cache... 300 in the textures dir, planet textures. And I'm showing planets in low res...
You can probably do a folder-by-folder show properties, to see how big each folder is. My guess is that your cache is too big. |

It's all portraits and planets be scary how big it would get if somone actually explored most of eve :P

Delete your screenshots, texture and pictures fodler (where images of everyone is stored) if you need space.
Also a good idea to NOT copy these files when making an EVE chaos copy.

4.02 gig here, and of them 3.09 gig is Cache.

i have more than 5GB cache... im glad im on flatrate ADSL :P but i do anything to keep my portraits and planetfiles... i dont want to download them once more... ive lost a little files back in the first patches, as u just simply had to delete cache folder everytime there was a fix.... im amazed that the game sends so much data while playing... :P BTW... some of the planets files are 2mb+... guess i should set my planetdetail to minimum ?

Does anyone know if the Notes you keep on players are kept server-side or client-side?
