from the 5245 patchnotes :
Deadspace acceleration gates no longer permit the entry of carriers, freighters, dreadnoughts, motherships and titans.
they way i read this is that in 8/10 's and higher no more dreads and carriers can be used, some alliances are known for using these type os ships to do them.
so, will this change the current situation in the 00 complexes ? can we expect more scirmishes around these sites ?

Nope, most complexes already dont allow cap ships. Afaik just angel 10/10's allow cap ships atm.

Most plex-running teams I am familiar with use AFs/HACs as their primary tanks with battleships providing the ganky-pewpewpew.

command ship + logistics ship is the prefered tank anyway....
no more 2 shoting the final station with a nag tho.....oh well.

Nope, never needed cap ships for 10/10s.
Angel 10/10 can be done with two well-kitted BS. Sansha 10/10 is easy with a HAC and 4 geddons. :) ------------------------------------------

That fix is primarily to stop people from using cap ships to easily beat lvl 4 missions.

Funnily enough, I actually had no idea this was going on. I'm not surprised, but I'm still trying to figure out how it slipped by my notice.....
Oh, and you never needed capital ships to do the plexes, it just made them a bit easier. ----------

Complexes has been ridiciously easy ever since CCP in their unfathomable ways removed the webbing frigs in complexes. Then they went ahead in a true act of mystery and changed all frigs to destroyers and all cruisers to battlecruisers from 6/10 and up (iirc). Which ofc only made it even MORE easy to finish the plexes since your BS sized guns now could hit even better against undersized targets.
We, the players, would like to thank CCP in their infinite wisdom and are eagerly awaiting the final masterplan for complexes where we'll be given a treasure map and have to write PEW PEW PEW, all in capital letters, in local and then get the overseer effects and faction loot for free once we've warped in to the complex (very short treasure map).

cant we just change complexes?
make them a race instead. first one to reach the overseer building in teh last level gets all the phat loot.
Pretty much the way they are today, but saves the runners a few hours 
|

Personally I really hate the race for complexes. I think I'd really like to see them spawn at random places at random times. This logging to alt at the respawn times and race into the complex and get past the 1st stage first is a bit rediculous.
Komplex farming only happens to this high degree, because they are so predictible and thereby also alt-friendly and because you are usually (?) safe after passing the 1st stage.
That's just my personal opinion of course, maybe my alliance disagrees. I mean we have a 10/10 and (theoretically) an 8/10 ourself

i think you're pretty right dude. To most europeans spawn times are kinda lame in 10/10s too, i'd certainly welcome making it random.
