Edited by: Firex1 on 27/09/2006 19:42:51 I was on my 1st level 2 agent fight against 3 npc's and I was getting nailed by alot of missiles so I went to warp out and it took about 30-45 seconds for my warp to kick in... by the time it kicked in my ship was destroyed.... Warp has never taken that long before... now I am out a vexor with 250mm railguns and other mods... if this sad state of the game continues with such poor response time from the server, thus resulting in losing ships then I will be forced to quit.
has anyone else had problems like this ?

I have had this problem too... and it had drastic concequences. I was doing a lvl 2 mission, in My Prophecy. There should be no what I lost it, anyway.. following 7minutes of lag, Boom... so like, I go get another ship, load it up again to get my modules can, basically, I realised that I wouldnt get it... tried to warp out, didnt work, warp bar was fronzen (Still took the cap.) so I stopped the ship. Tried to warp again, still didnt work, but still drained my cap.. after about the 3rd attempt to warp out, I was outta cap after the 3rd attempt of trying to warp id lost 3000 armour and 2000 hull still didnt warp out.
anyway basically I lost 2 proph's in 15minutes, neither of them were in my control..

The prophecy takes a helluva of a time to warp away as it is slow as hell to align thats why when i do missions i have 5 x nanofibers on my proph so i can jump away fast if anything happens.

I will just have to compensate by warping when the fight starts... then if I am losing it should kick in 2-3 minutes later.... that was meant as sarcastic I have 2-3 days to complete this mission... hopefully I can do it before then, I hate losing standing. I cant afford to lose another fully loaded ship. I couldn't recover anything from the last ship since I would of gotten smoked trying to recover the canister.

1st two weeks ( I've been playing now for about 1 month 1/2 ) of playing the game I lost 4 frigates, not to my lack of skill, but to my inability to warp out. I even warped out, recieved and Eve-Mail from my insurance, closed it and watched my Tristan turn into a pod mid warp. I had warped out when my armour took it's first hit.
Was very trying on a n00b who had not yet got a sub.
I could blame my Ping, but I've successfully left a battle on many occasion fine at other times.

The best way to do it would be....
Warp into mission and then as soon as you pop out of warp Double click somewhere in space very near a warpable object (gate, roid field, planet, station etc). This will make your ship turn and start heading towards this location at full speed.
Open fire on the rats. When you notice your repairer starting to get overloaded, you get low on cap or you are getting low on your tank then right click the place you are heading towards and warp to it. Unless you are warp jammed then you will jump into warp with no or very little delay.
Basically you are "pre-aligning" for warp to make a quick exit. ----
God gave us a brain, he also gave us a voice.
Shame some people have yet to connect them.

That's not it though -- I've used a Badger for instance and been pre-aligned before I even kicked in warp, and I don't have lag issues in game ... solidly low ping and fast computer. My Badger spent like a full 60 secs going to warp before it was destroyed by rats. Sometimes you just get these ridiculously long warp times for no apparent reason.

This bug is still around, a corpmate lost a ship to this last night, it was nothing to do with aligning or nav skills, just the game refusing to allow the ship into warp even when aligned and moving at full speed.

Attention!
Send a petition to CCP [reimbursement], discribe your problem [lag etc.], be nice and friendly [diplomatic skills rules *;-)] and you will definitely get your ship with all destroyed fittings back withing 10 days. I had that kind of problem two times with my BC.
CCP support is aware about those problems and they are very cooperative, of course. That's my experience.
Check Concorde mail, do a BM in your egg before warping out in frustration, cancel mission and get back your left fittings.
Dismissed! *:-)

If you are going faster than your max speed (eg by warping into a belt and landing in a asteroid) you will take fricking AGES to align and warp .... your ship has to slow down to less than the max speed (speed you have without using AB or MWD)
but a lot of what has been posted here looks like lag ... you should try 100 vs 100 fleet battles for lag I have gone though battles without any mods once working, FC is calling primary and i am trying to target, sometimes it actually works, but then my guns and mods just flash at me |
