If i got this right, after the new patch, when someone wants to build something I have to give them TAKE access on the hanger. If this is right then you need to change it back to query only access to build. It seems real silly to have to give someone access to take all the minerals if they only need some to build with.
Please ease my mind.

That confused me a little, too. Does it mean that you can't have people authorized to manufacture goods without giving them the authority to clean out the mineral hangar?

Yeah but they could just build something like lotsa cruisers / something thats effective on minerals have the output to a hangar they can take from and bingo they log back on at end time and they've just cleaned out the minerals hangar without having full access

Yes this may be true and in fact I had a debate with one of my members tonight and he sided with "well whatever they can take anyway"
It breaks down simply like this. If someone has take access to a hanger to build they can take instantly. Query to build means they have to work for it and even then the most expensive minerals use less in building.
So here are a few examples #1s are with query to build #2s are with take to build. (given the person building is able to be tempted or is a theif)
A. Quick build rights, A member wants to build something, but is reletively new to the corp say 3 weeks or so. It is being built for te corp so you want them to build from the corp hanger.
#1 Give the player the role to build X item. When it is done take the role away. (The worst that can happen is he/she installs something that shouldn't be and since it is a corp installation it can be fixed or managed.)
#2 Give the player the role to build X item. When it is done take the role away. (The worst thing that can happen is the player takes every piece of mineral in your Deposits hanger and transfers it to his/her own.)

B. The player has role to build always and wants to theive the corp.
#1 He injects as many bpos, as he has access to, for as long as he can get away with it. (The most taken is a bunch of tritanium and maybe pyerite mexallon, and some nocxium a few more easy to mine minerals, but not much megacyte or zydrine because BPOs don't take much of this by scale of time)
#2 He just looks at the most expensive minerals and other items in the hanger and when the time is right he/she takes it into there own hanger and give the corp a middle finger.
C. A roled member accidentally stacks all minerals or drags them somewhere.
#1 This is pretty far fetched, but hey I've met a few boners in the game too. Thank god the're more smart players in EVE than those few that aren't. (the worst that happens is.... well nothing cause they can't do it.)
#2 They stack your minerals you had sorted out or any other infinate possibility, or they accidentally drag it somewhere or gosh dang who knows.
Anyway, I hope we can get this fixed cause my members and managers are going to hate life after this gets revoked from there roles in my corp. Building is an important part of EVE.

You can just put minerals in sealen station cantainer and i think it help solve you problem...

You can't build from any containers as far as i know.
However this may be even better, building from a container only if you have the password and take role. What about this CCP?

How about mineral/component lockdown in the same way in which you can have BP lockdown?
Have it so that you can place more mins/components into the pile and/or stack them.
Pushing it further have it so all lockdown BPs only build to a specific hanger. This can be pre-setup by someone in authority.

I think I remember that is kind of the way it used to be a while back. Something like that anyway. All i remember was that is sucked to set up the roles. I wrote a paper on it for our board members and it seems that now I may have to rewrite it for the third time unless CCP fixes this back to it's prepatched version. I think this isn't the first time they changed it to take access needed to build. The last time might have been a glitch or something though. I can't really remember.
Any way. I'll probably end up finding out the patch was a typo. Has anyone confirmed that you need "take" to build yet?
I haven't had time to test it.

Boils down to an issue of trust. Unfortunatly, trust can't be enforced in Eve very effectively.
Every one of my corps active members have almost complete access. (I am not allowed to wardec people
 )

Yes I do believe CCP has created a great game for us by allowing the players to decide and control themselves as much as possible. However, CCP also need to impliment the tools for players to setup there own protections and security. Not sure what the answer is, but if we can't agree on the take access needs to go, then can we get the option to allow for take access or not take access in order to build?
I still haven't heard much on this yet?
