Ive been getting this problem recently and ive tried to fix it but it dosent work.
Heres my problem. I log in to eve, after about 5 minutes ill start to get some massive lag, after a few seconds of this massive lag, No more chat messages pop up, no more rats shoot, nothing happens... the game realises that its disconected and i get logged out. I can log back in immediatly but same thing starts again after 5 minutes (yeah i actually time it).
First I though it might be my new router, so i connected directly into the modem and eve worked fine, so i though to myself wow it must be the router, but as it seems the router dosent disconect at all, im connected to it by wire, and any other program (internet, msn, other games) dont seem to be affected, only eve. Ive tested with pretty much all the internet games i had and i dont seem to have this problem with them... only eve.
Anyone else experiencing this problem?

I have this problem sometimes, started after Demon patch. Even lost a BC and a brand new Daredevil to it. As happens to u, other progs like msn, e-mule and stuff are not affected. No idea of its cause. Yes, i also use wireless router, and got the same prob when when connected directly to modem.

So waht did you do to stop it? Ive tried clearing my chache... still nothing.

so if you bypass the router then it all works fine is what you are saying so then there is something in your router that doesn't like eve or something else on you router that is trying to go through the same ports as eve and causing packet lose. figure out if it is the firewall on the router causing it or not by setting your eve computer to DMZ
